2015 clock was a 3 minutes.before midnight

2017 clock moved to 2.5 minutes before midnight

2018 clock moved to 2 minutes before midnight
Global catastrophe =/= the Second Coming. We’ve had wide-scale disasters before, and yet we’re still here.

Pope Sylvester said Jesus would return in the year 1000.

Emanuel Swedenborg said it would be 1757.

William Miller said it would be 1844 (and 1843).

Charles Taze Russell said it would be 1874.

Joseph Smith said it would be 1891.

The Watchtower Society (of the Jehovah’s Witnesses) said it would be 1914.

Herbert Armstrong predicted four separate dates, including 1935, 1943, 1972 and 1975.

Harold Camping predicted 1994 and 2011.

The year 2000 was guessed by Edgar Cayce, Ed Dobson and (by some reports) Jerry Falwell. Jack Van Impe guessed 2012.

Mark Blitz (the Blood Moon guy) said it would be 2015.

2 predictions for 2016

3 predictions for 2017

and now 1 for June 24, 2018

You know, I’ve thought about building a giant boat in my back yard but I think I’d get a letter from my HOA.

When my mom was a little girl, she had a dream in which the world was going through the end times, and everyone who was bound for Heaven was getting on a special train. She didn’t see her dad on the train, and this petrified her because she loved my grandfather above all else. When she woke up, she told him about the dream and her fear. His comforting response was: “What makes you think you’re so special that you’ll live to see the end of the world?”

I try not to get hung up on the end of the world, because I’m pretty sure that I either won’t live to see it, or if it does happen in my lifetime it’ll sneak up on me when I least expect it. The first time Jesus came to Earth, it was in a very unexpected form, and this gives me reason to believe that the end times will also manifest in a very unexpected way.

Ahhhh you are a rich dude. Where I live, only the Rich live in neighborhoods that have HOA.

People paying almost the same as their mortgage in HOA fees. Something is definitely wrong with that.

Something wrong with a HOA in general terms.

I think an HOA is quite useful. The money paid goes back into important maintenance for the facilities and is thus an investment which keeps property values from diminishing. Without fees, how would the cost of caring for the golf courses, golf cart paths docks and walking paths to the beach be covered? Not to mention the burden of maintaining and staffing the club house and private gym, pool and equestrian facilities. Also, it is not inexpensive to provide 24 hour security for a gated community and amenities like the tennis courts and helicopter pads always need expert care. Allowing one’s neighborhood or home to fall into a decrepit state is never a good plan. I suspect not all are ready for home ownership. Renting could be a better option for them.

You skepticism is understandable…your lack of charity is not.

Someone told me that the Jews need to recognise Jesus is the messiah before he returns, anyone know how true this is?

Ummmm ok. Ummmmmm Ok. Judging from your other posts, I am going to assume you are at least a teenager. And I get where you might have gotten that idea…But I don’t think that is correct. The Jewish people still belong to God.

Don’t worry about it. We’ve all said some ill conceived stuff on the internet at some point. You’re good, my dude.

It’s my understanding that there is a concept known as the “Great Day of the Lord,” which refers to Judgment Day. Mentions of “that day” in Scripture are references to this. I have noted Isaiah 3:17-24 which includes the term “that day” and seems to be a perfect description of conditions for Jewish women in a 1940’s slave labor camp:

The Lord will give the daughters of Zion itching heads and will uncover their nakedness. … .
Instead of a belt, a rope;
instead of a scent, a stink;
instead of a pretty dress, a sack;
instead of nice hair; a shaven scalp;
and brand marks instead of beauty.

In my opinion this passage indicates that the world is now experiencing the “Great Day of the Lord” and the length of that “day” may be over one hundred years since we have not yet experienced God’s final judgment which is spelled out in Isaiah 66:15-16.

For see how YHWH comes in fire,
His chariots like the tempest,
to assuage His anger with burning,
His threats with brilliant fire.
For by fire will YHWH execute judgement,
and by His sword against all mankind.
The victims of YHWH will be many.

My thought is that this passage is a description of nuclear war on a global scale. It seems to tie in with Jeremiah 25:32-33. It’s going to be a rough ride, folks.

In as much that everyone belongs to God.

Jew and gentile are one under the New Covenant.

don’t worry about a thing…

we’d’ve’d’d gotten the situation covered

If tomorrow comes, we will be one day closer to the end.
Do not worry about tomorrow; tomorrow will take care of itself. – Matthew 6:34

It’s said that my birth signaled the End of Days. Some consider me the living embodiment of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. Just in case anyone was wondering :roll_eyes:
