A Prayer for the Forgotten Dead

O merciful God,
take pity on those souls
who have no particular friends and intercessors
to recommend them to Thee; and who,
either through the negligence of those who are alive,
or through length of time, are forgotten
by their friends and by all.

Spare them, O Lord,
and remember Thine own Mercy,
when others forget to appeal to it.
Let not the souls which Thou hast created
be parted from Thee, their Creator.

On this day in 1982 I gave birth to my son Stephen and the same day he died.I have 2 children in heaven Christopher and Stephen who I love with all my heart and soul. I visited your grave today and pray always for you both and for all who have died and those who are bereaved.
I love being a mother it is the greatest gift God gave me.I look forward to the day we are all reunited together
My love is with my children in heaven always.

O God, You gave us 2 children, and in Your wisdom and love have called them home to You before us. Please listen to our humble prayer: pardon his/her sins and faults, and grant that we may be reunited safely in Your Presence. Through Your Son, our Lord, Jesus Christ, we beg this of You. Amen.
