Welcome to CAF, and I know how you feel, having my posts ignored…Hello all! I’m new here but I’ve been posting on some of the news sites that are running this story (although all my posts get ignored…) Anyway, I thought I’d pass along an article that explains why women can’t be priests very very well. It’s by CS Lewis and entitled “Preistesses in the Church?” He has such a knack for explaining things well!

I am sorry but i have meet the king of france and you are not him. If you were you would have known that according to the laws of society, a title can not be gender specific…Therefore a “King” can not be a man…Welcome to CAF, and I know how you feel, having my posts ignored…
I AM THE KING OF FRANCE, I TELL YOU!!!![]()
Because women can’t forgive anything! Why can’t women be ordained priestesses in the Catholic world?![]()
True, humorous and sad, in their desire to become better modern up to-date Catholics, they turned protestant.I don’t know if you meant that as a joke, but I found it humorously true! Thank you.
And how do you know I am not the true king?I am sorry but i have meet the king of france and you are not him. If you were you would have known that according to the laws of society, a title can not be gender specific…Therefore a “King” can not be a man…
Peace,
Beckers “The True King of France!”
We live in a new era. The old gender thing is passe. Moreover, there is a desperate shortage of priests.
Mainline Protestant groups - Methodist, Episcopal, Lutheran, Congregational, Presbyterian, etc - have ordained women for years, and there are even many women bishops among Methodists, Episcopalians, Lutherans and other groups that have bishops. I know at least two former nuns who became Protestant ministers.
Undoubtedly, there is good that could come of ordaining women. However, Sacred Tradition as handed down from the Apostles forbids it. The Church has not the power to discard this Tradition. It’s time that the Catholic Church ordained women. I watched the Bishops at their recent gathering, very able men it seems, but all of them were male, overwhelmingly old and white.

You forgot gay Bishops and same sex unions ? a slippery slope, I as a Roman Catholic will never embrace that. It’s time that the Catholic Church ordained women. I watched the Bishops at their recent gathering, very able men it seems, but all of them were male, overwhelmingly old and white.

I agree, and I’d probably be one of them. And if the Church did try any such thing, SSPX would grow exponentially. A prediction on my part.
You must have had some nasty experiences with the weaker sex.Because women can’t forgive anything!
They should have gone to Vegas and been ordained in one of the 24 hour wedding chapels. At least there, they could perform marriages, at least of Elvis impersonators.kmov.com/topstories/stories/kmov_locanews_071111_womenpriest.1ffe1ffd4.html
I didn’t know whether to laugh or throw up, these people really take this seriously. They claim these women were ordained Catholic priests.
A) Not possible.
B) It was done in a Jewish temple.
C) Condemned by the Catholic Church
D) Who ‘ordained’ them?
What fires me up is the fact that they are actually calling themselves Catholic! I wouldn’t mind so much if they were claiming to be a new protestant religion or something, but to call themselves Catholic just really gets me going.![]()
But as has been brought up before, we are catholic and it is forbidden for women to be priests and we uphold that tradition and don’t change something just because someone wants to. Things are the way the are because that’s the way GOD wants it. Other churches have broken away from the Catholic church because someone wanted to change things and not follow the rules and regulations we have. I don’t put down other churches, but please don’t try to make us change with you, because we won’tIt’s time that the Catholic Church ordained women. Code:To my knowledge, there is one openly gay bishop in all of Protestantism - an Episcopalian. My guess is that the gay matter is a much greater dilemma within Catholicism, partly because priests cannot marry. Didn't most of the sex scandals involve priests and teenage males? I think so. I believe only one Protestant group sanctions gay marriages, the United Church of Christ, where it is left up to each local church in accord with their congregational polity.
Wait, they should proclaim that they have solved global warming as well!I’m disapointed with their lack of ambition. Instead of settling for merely being priests, they should have made themselves bishops, United States Senators, members of the boards of all the Fortune 500 companies, and awarded themselves the Nobel Peace Prize. If you’re going to pretend, you might as well pretend big.
I would be right there with you.I agree, and I’d probably be one of them.
Women priests? Ordained? OH yeah I 'd like to see that?kmov.com/topstories/stories/kmov_locanews_071111_womenpriest.1ffe1ffd4.html

Well I think you deserve a hug :hug1:Women priests? Ordained? OH yeah I 'd like to see that?
There is no ordination of women priests. theologically it cannot be.
Just more disobedient women.
I had an interesting conversation with another woman several days ago. She is into feminist thought, and I was listening to the usual “how dare the church not allow women to be priests. this is a rights issue. we have a right to be priests if we are called to this. We have a right to be able to offer sacrifice.”
And this is when I couldnt contain myself further and I suggested that women are already priests for satan, and are already offering sacrifice to him. After all 40 million women per year take their child to the new altar, abortion facility, and stand there together with other altar servers (abortionist, nurses, staff) and she offers her new life (child sacrifice) to the god satan. She follows the ritual, and then goes home having offered sacrfice to the god convenience, money, pride, career, vacation, or simply because she wants to offer this sacrifice. Further, I added that I believed that the reason we are where we are psychologically, spiritually, is because of disobedience. The biggest and most consistent sin today is disobedience. The sin of the garden of again.
Children are not obedient to parents, women not obedient to their calling, men not obedient to their calling, men and women disobedient to the church, and society as a whole disobedeient to God, and then we wonder why the tragic state of society.
Well my dear lady friend didnt like what I said and hrrrruuummmmpppped (that means gave me an unprintable word) and walked off in disgust with me.
Cheers

Openly yes…hidden, who knows ? and only one is one too many.To my knowledge, there is one openly gay bishop in all of Protestantism - an Episcopalian.

Being married doesn’t make anyone straight.
Again being married doesn’t matter…married men abuse…how did being married make any difference ?Didn’t most of the sex scandals involve priests and teenage males? I think so.
Your missing the point, having a problem with homosexuality and sanctioning it are quite different.
**The Catholic Church doesn’t sanction gay marriage. **
, the United Church of Christ, where it is left up to each local church in accord with their congregational polity.I believe only one Protestant group sanctions gay marriages
I was merely adding to the list something that was left out…and again my point is the Catholic Church doesn’t sanction gay marriages.
