Not at all. I used to spend my time trolling a very anti-theist forum. I dont know how many flames I got and how much brow-beatings I took from defending Christianity from some very ignorant Atheists.

I dont know if you’ve noticed but for all the jabbing I do to Christians, its more about their behavior and strange theology as opposed to the msgs of Jesus or even Jesus himself.
I may be a Nihilist, but it doesnt mean I dont believe ther isnt truth behind jesus’ words.

But as I said, reading these forums (and this thread (name removed by moderator)articular) its very easy to mistake Christians for hate-mongerers
You must understand there is a Holy war going on right now, you may not be able to accept this but it’s true. The radical Muslim is out to destroy Christianity, and there are a lot of radical Muslims. Some even to disguise the fact they are peace keeping people, then stab you in the back. It will only get worse. Christians have to stand together on this. Christians are not hate-mongers, but the other way around. Anyone denying Jesus Christ will have to stand judgement for themselves. Neither myself or any one else’s thread should make a difference here.
These are the people who will see Jesus’s face and then it will slowly pass by them. That is hell to me and torture, to die and see the face of Jesus go right by you for Eternity b/c you did not believe.

A lot of people who are taking time on the net to talk about religion really seem to be gearing up for or advocating a religious war. The beauty of the internet seems to be its ability to widen the divide between different people and to enable any position, no matter what it is, to find a support group. No matter how degenerate or hateful your world view may be (and I’m not saying anything about anyone on these threads), you can always find a supportive community on the internet.

Umm no. If you understand anything about politics or buisness you’ll see this is more about attaining power for personal use as opposed to a genuine holy way. Christians have cried Holy War agaisnt the USSR, forces in WW2, to a lesser extend in WW1, etc.

Being a zealot will only make things worse as your effectively blocking your ears and closing your eyes to how the world works. I wouldve thought a Christian would undersyand as their original spiritual leader was clear that understand not violence is the way but somehow ppl have managed to twist the the msg to a disturbing and hateful one totally defying everything he stood for.
I really dont know how some people of these forums can claim to be Christian with such a perverted msg.

Cut the ****, Longinus. St. Paul said to be determined and to stand up for the faith. That is exactly what I do whether you like it or not. Why don’t you pm RomanCrusader, he’ll tell you exactly how he feels. Will you argue then?

St.paul isnt Jesus or have we forgetten that? If at anytime anyone conflicts with Jesus’ msg, then they are wrong. Or is it you feel you are too good for the words of Jesus? That you are somehow exempt and above his teachings?

So you are saying St. Paul is wrong??

Blessed Pope Urban II declared Moslems to be pagan savages.

How dare we say Moslems are surely on Gods plan of salvation? Do they accept Our Redeemer? No, they reject Him! Moslems actually deny that Jesus was crucified. They reject His sacrifice.

Even more disgusting is the “prophet” (more like pedophile) Mohammed. Moslems declare this warlord as equal to Christ!

I have nothing against Moslems as people, but their pagan cult is twisted and abominable!
Any one who worships the God of Abraham worships the one true God. However, Muslims have a different idea of how God relates to us and what God thinks. They believe in God because Abraham believed in him. Just as Christians and Jews do. They in some degree do lack understanding of the true God, but they understand him to be the source of goodness. This is what makes it true to say that they worship the same God. Their perception of love is different. They do not believe that God is love in the way that we believe it. But they still believe in God because Abraham believed.
They may have the idea that God did not speak to Moses and does not have a Son, but that does not change the fact that they believe that Abraham was worshipping the right God. This is what the Church means when they say Muslims worship the same God. The Church does not say that all the ways they believe God relates to men is correct, but that they do believe in God because of Abraham.
We can only pray that one day they will believe that God truly does have a Son.

But because Jews do not believe that Jesus is the Son of God, does that mean they don’t believe the one true God?

Because Jews do not believe that Jesus died for our sins, does that mean they don’t believe in the one true God?

Because Jews do not see three persons in one God, does that mean that they don’t believe in the same God we do?

NO!

Jesus did believe that the Jews worshipped the one true God as he was one. He would probably see that Muslims worship the one true God. But not in the right way. They do not believe him in the correct way. Jesus came so that people could believe in God the right way, in Spirit and truth. That does not mean that Muslims are not worshippers of the one true God. It means that they do not believe in God the way we do.

In this we could say that Muslims are the children of Abraham. They believe in the God of Abraham. As could be said of Jews. But does that mean they do not believe in the one true God of Abraham?

No.

On the contrary, anything Paul said partaining to faith and morals was correct because he was lead by the Spirit of Jesus.
I personalyl would much rather listen to what Jesus himself said as opposed to someone who claimed Jesus spoke to him when in fact he never met Jesus while he lived and only quoted him twice in all his letters.

It is important to note that Jesus also said that anyone who does not believe in the people he sent does not believe in the Him nor in the one who sent him.

The Apostles were very good friends with Paul. They listened to him and agreed that he was lead by God.

Oh, but ST. Paul met God on the road to Damascus. He spoke to St. Paul. Now tell me, what’s better than that…hmmmm…?

Yeah. If I was an apostle, that would be one of the first statements I’d make as well 🙂

Hello,

Just a Correction from a muslim:

Muslims believe that God spoke to Moses. However we dont believe that God has sons in the sense that Christians do .

thanks

I have never met any Muslims who understand what we mean by Son of God in reference to Jesus. Their obtuseness suprises even me. I still remember one insisting that it had something to do with human reproduction. He had listened to much to imams who were equally ignorant of Christianity.

As for one of the above comments on “religious war”. We are already in one and we didn’t start it.

That’s my post that we are in a Holy war and it will get worse. If people perservere and stay proud your a Christian, God will save you. If not this life, the next.

Meedo, after 555 posts, you still do not get what Son of God means? the Quranic interpretation of Son of God is WRONG. You are on a Catholic forum, it is REALLY time for you to understand what it means 😦

Greetings in the Lord!
Code:
I have been reading these entries and needed to share my heart and view. First if all the god of Islam is correct. Little g. The one and only true God is Jehovah God! the author of Life and the bible. I am so absolute about this; if the bible doesnt say it then it isnt so! Plus the traditions of men should "never "go above the word of God Ever! allah is NOt our God. He is not the Jews God. Our roots in christianity are Jewish folks! There is no getting around that! Jesus while on earth was Jewish, if He walked here today in the flesh He would be Jewish! This is the way Father God had planned for mankind. He chose Abraham. remember Abraham had two sons! One was born from obedience to God and the other was not. The other turned from what he knew to be true and rebelled against God. Today, the Arab nation! Isaac, the father of the Jewish people.
Salvation was first to the Jew, THEN the Gentile!! In that order. Because Jesus gave the position to Peter and then paul was such a great preacher and teacher to the gentile nation, doesnt change the facts, they were Jewish men of God. NO where do I read that we are to honor allah. Only Father God, Jehovah, the God of Israel! For there is none other and Jesus is the ONLY one called to die for us. Only one. His grave is empty---no remains! Of course we are to love others, but loving others does not signify changing our roots of belief! God grace and mercy is never for doing our own thing or beleiving our own thing. Its for the ability to repent when we have messed up. Its the ability to come bodlly to His throne of grace.....Its never for liberality to do whatever and whenever...and believe whatever! Like it or not God is about absolutes. Being politically correct is not a term used in christianity ever. The apostle John said that if we love the world we do not love God! that is worlds way of doing. So accepting everything that call itself religion is unacceptable for a believer in Jesus. On that note, I knew someone years ago who was a radical muslim. and yes, he hated americans and said so, he accused us of being satainc. he said the western world in general was evil. He said they teach their children how wicked the western world is, when they are very young.
he was very abusive to his wife and disrespectful. He treated his daughters the same way. His wife finally left him and he was even more radical than before. he also said that the Quran does say that ANYONE who is not muslim is to be anhilated! Dont think we could get any plainer than that. Yes Jesus said" do good to those who hate us". Absolutely we are to never mistreat them. we are to win them to Jesus! Other than that we are to stay clear of their ways their teachings and their religion. amen!
