Democrats may really regret what they’ve done trying to push mail-in voting.

Because from the stories we’ve already seen, it’s just going to be a huge mess.

As we previously reported, there are already accusations of ballot harvesting against the Democrats in Minnesota and in Texas.

But even beyond questions of fraud, just the expansion to millions more ballots by mail-in voting or absentee ballot is, in and of itself, adding more steps that can go wrong. We’ve seen ballots being discarded or ending up in a ditch . . .
I just got my New York mail-in ballot today and the security envelope I’m supposed to put it in and sign has some other guy’s name and address on it.

Gothamist is already reporting other cases, so this is looking to be a widespread problem. . . .

Amazing, I received my absentee ballot today and @BOENYC has given me someone else’s privacy envelope with their barcode and everything. This election is gonna be a #@%# show. . . .

. . . The Board of Elections is calling it a vendor error. They had a vendor send it out? Yikes. Doesn’t exactly inspire confidence. Does anyone else wonder why they’re having a private vendor do it when it’s literally their responsibility? One more step to screw up.

But that’s not the only issue.

NYC voters are wrongly receiving mail-in ballots marked for military use, despite never having served in the military . . .

SCOTUS should rule that the election be conducted as it always has.
 
A family friend here in NJ just got two ballots. I can not believe all this is simply run of the mill govt incompetence.

SCOTUS doesn’t just make pronouncements on things. They only rule on cases over which they have jurisdiction, which usually means the case starts in a lower court, exhausts its appeals there, and then the losing attorney petitions the Supreme Court to take the case and the Supreme Court agrees to hear it.

Furthermore, SCOTUS is likely to try to stay out of any cases that involve deciding an election as being too political and thus harmful to the reputation of the Court. Nobody wants a repeat of Bush v. Gore, least of all the Supreme Court and CJ Roberts.

A general election is not the time to proceed with on-the-job training.

That example right there should be enough to bring a case against it.
 
Well in that case the American people will just have to settle for skewed results.

At this point I’m wondering if it’s even worth my time to vote.
 
The Catechism does say someplace that it’s a Catholic’s duty to participate in civic processes like voting.

As a woman, I also feel a duty to vote because of those who had to work very hard to get me voting rights when just 100 years ago I wouldn’t have had any.

Plus there are always a bunch of local bond issues and such apart from the Presidential election. I see that my state is seeking to legalize sports betting (for more “education revenue”) and I’m happy to weigh in on that.

My point is that I’m losing faith in the process.

Back in the 90s I went to vote and was handed a ballot already marked straight Republican ticket.
 
Yes but ensuring the Integrity of an election is not partisan.
 
We are strictly mail in here in Colo.Wish we had an in person option

You’re going to vote for two people that Vehemently reject the teachings of the Church?

I’m no Trump fan… but simply by him at least supporting key Catholic teachings, I can’t NOT support him.
 
Trump is not Catholic. He doesn’t support ANY Catholic teachings. He pretends. Feel free to buy into that – I certainly will not.
