For all of the talk about “Gay Pride,” the Gay Movement has a very insidious, snake-like method of gaining, or in fact, forcing, acceptance and “equal rights.”

It seems that they are unable to take on their opponents in a direct and fair way, so they attack with sneaky, underhanded methods. They don’t come out in the open and discuss their issues, they choose to use threats of lawsuits and other means to try and scare possible opponents into submission.

A recent example was at Georgetown University, where they finally forced the university, which is run by Jesuits, to fully fund a center for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and students seeking to discover their sexual orientation.

Don’t waste your time reading this article. It is as hateful as the title implies.

Wow…simply wow…you wonder why religious folks are getting bad names–look no further.

Sure, the article’s writing style is a bit overdone. But the fact’s there: the homosexual lobby knows how to jerk around the system.

Call it all “equal rights”, and, bingo, the whole schmeer of real and imaginary “rights” are yours!

It’s the fear of lawsuits that has compelled corporations to bend over backwards in accommodating any kind of demand. Gay lobbyists know that in America, the big corporations often set the social pace, and often lead the federal government in creating “rights.”

Repeat and repeat that it’s “equal rights” and the average guy on the street will soon enough begin to also repeat the mantra.

I’m awfully tired of the homosexual lobbyists. It would be good to see equally effective pro-family, pro-community lobbying.

PS: interesting note. I used to see cars with a bumper sticker of a blue box with two yellow bars. I thought it had something to do with Cub Scouts. Turns out its the main gay lobby’s logo: curious they’re copying the scout logo.

I wasn’t going to consider it. One need only look at the OP to realize he has had a personal agenda on these forums.

A suggestion: it’s probably best to refute the article if possible based on the article, not who posted it. Attacking the messenger is not a good way of disagreeing with someone…at least it won’t convince others to disagree with the OP.

Just a thought.

Let’s be honest: everyone with an agenda “jerks the system around”, whether it’s the gays, environmentalists, pro-lifers, etc. That’s just how our society works. Some are just better at it than others.

How is it not a fight for equal rights? Is it not something worth lobbying for?

Matt

Have you ever noticed that the OP rarely, if ever, replies to any challenges?

Just a thought,

John

Have you ever noticed that there are some that turn every thread into a sexually related one?

Look I read the article. It is “over done” and offensive in some ways. But the drop of truth in it is that there are many instances where the agenda of the extreme is forced on us all.

To many of the threads lately are US-v-THEM and taken as personal attacks.

So calm down and don’t blame the messengers.

In the news forums what would we expect? If someone takes offense at the news article and challenges it, the guy (or gal) that posted the news article can’t do anything about what is reported. We don’t have any say as to what the source writes or why. We are just posting the article because we want to and are looking for conversation about it.

Wow…simply wow…you wonder why religious folks are getting bad names–look no further.
How about you refute things in the article rather than just making silly comments about religious people?

How is it not a fight for equal rights? Is it not something worth lobbying for?

Matt
No, it isn’t. Anything not endorsed by God isn’t worth fighting for. That includes, but is not limted to:

Abortion
Murder
Adultery
Heterosexual sex outside of marriage
Homosexual lifestyles
Rape
Theft
Incest
Pornography
Drug Use

Whether or not we like the cause in question is irrelevant. The Church’s stance is all that matters for Catholics.

Umm, you’d have to, you know, ACTUALLY challenge the points made, one by one.

Saying “the article is full of nasty meanness!” isn’t a challenge, it is an opinion at best.

The ways of the enemy are many and subtle…

And sometimes not so subtle.

Excuse me, but as a Christian, it’s very important to me not to kick the shoot out of my fellow human. I’m am in favor of gays having legal protection. I think it’s time we re-read the parable of the good Samaritan. The Samaritan helping his mortal enemy, the Jew, is a very good model of this situation. It is our duty, not only to not hate, but also not pretend we do not hate while acting as if we did. I will stand between anyone trying to harm a gay man or lesbian in any way.

The point is, they already DO have the same legal protection as the rest of us.

It’s called The Constitution.

What they are after is SPECIAL protection. This fits right in with classifying any reference to normal families as hate speech. It’s been done and they will continue to push the boundaries.

Interesting to note that homosexuality used to be classified as a mental illness. It’s still a sin and an aberration. Let’s not confirm people in their sin but lead them to normalcy.

No where in the constitution is there adequate protection for gays. You can still be fired for being gay. You cannot marry. You lose some 1600 rights because of the lack of marriage.

Also interesting to note that homosexuality is NOT a disease. Slavery used to be allowed too. Is Homosexuality a disease? Not according to any accredited source.

I do not know where you are getting your info from, but you seem sadly misinformed.

Matt

Since when have gays ever been allowed to marry:bigyikes:
Oh those poor single people, that loose those 1600 rights for not being married what about them?

hey lets list the rights gays do have…
  1. it is no longer illegal to perform sodomy.
  2. it is not longer legal to put someone to death for sodomy
  3. Gays can now legal immigrate to the US.
4.Wisconsin becomes the first state to pass a law prohibiting discrimination against gays and lesbians in employment, housing and public accommodation.
5.you can now speak favorably about homosexual acts in schools.
  4. Gays can serve in the military
  5. gays can get married in MA
  6. the Hawaii legislature passes a law that extends a number of rights and benefits to same-gender couples, calling them reciprocal beneficiaries. Additional laws granting further rights and benefits are passed in 1999
9.Vermont Supreme Court rules that gay couples must be granted the same benefits and protections awarded married couples of the opposite sex. In 2000, the Vermont legislature enacts a civil unions law.
  7. Gays can have civil unions in many states
11.A comprehensive domestic partnership statute is passed in Oregon, granting nearly all rights afforded to married couples to same-sex couples. The bill is similar to California’s domestic partnerships.
I am sure that there are more rights that gays have…and this is just the tip of the iceberg

I am sorry but why are you comparing slavery to gay rights?
Two different things…imho.
