Any soda is automatically dubbed “Coke” in the South.

“What would you like to drink?”
“Ah, Coke please.”
“Yes sir. What kind?”
“Dr. Pepper.”
That’s so weird. So…if you actually wanted a Coke, you would need to say Coca Cola?

I am a Pepsi girl myself. 😉

Here’s the thing: anyplace that sells coke doesn’t sell Pepsi. In fact, I think the only place that sells pepsi is Taco Bell.

Usually. Although using Coke as a catch-all is usually done in conversation, not while ordering lunch. But it can happen.

Pepsi? I can’t stand the stuff.

But…Do you know what the famous last words of a Redneck are?

they serve it EVERYWHERE, Asian restaurants, Thai restaurants, Mexican restaurants, all cafeterias and all breakfast places. BY the gallon at drive-throughs and grocery stores. Lvoe it.
 
If you come down here and say “I sure could use some Pop”, you would get stared at and dismissed as a Dadgum Yankee.

Thus triggering the inevitable “Well bless his heart.”

Have you had the chance to try Chicago-style?

It’s the really thick pan-style pizza.

Some people either really like it, or they prefer the thin style, like New York-style pizza.

Sometimes we’ll eat Chicago-style, and I’ll think, “Ehhh…I don’t know that I’m missing all of that dough and crust!” 😉

I’m used to eating really thin-style pizza up here, and I love the really thin crust.
 
I do prefer the thin crust…I think I’ve tried the other.
For a while I loved making the dough and pizzas for our family…I should get back into it but try for a thinner base .
 
My daughter recently made a pizza using Almond flour. It a very thin crust yet sturdy to keep all the toppings from tearing it apart. It was also very tasty. 🍕

I prefer NY style over Chicago style myself.
 
That’s interesting…was it sweet at all? Well I guess pizza dough probably has a little sugar for the yeast anyway.
