I literally do test the dialogue out first. It’s quite a show for my family 😀

I imagine you putting on all kinds of voices and accents 😁 your family would get quite a few laughs.I was soo tempted last time when I travelled to put on accents…well I did speak with an American accent a few times getting groceries there just to test it out,and got away with it 😅

You do indeed ! It’s funny here trying to imagine everyone’s accents.

Let’s not dredge up the past here. It was settled long ago 😅

I actually didn’t support the Northern treatment of the South and am not a fan of Grant. In my opinion the Northern Government had money on their mind instead of human rights. Reconstruction was appalling. I’m in favor of reconciliation. And we needn’t mention the congressional conspiracy against Lincoln 🤫

I agree. Reconstruction was devastating for the South. The South was forced to come back to the Union because the argument was they were states and can’t secede. But they were not treated as states after the war.

(I’m also not a big fan of President Lincoln but that’s neither here nor there.)

But Cornbread anyone?

If it’s the Jiffy kind yes. The sandy grainy kind, no.

That’s yellow cornbread! In the South they use white cornmeal. Yankees use yellow. . .

The yellow tastes better, and Cracker Barrel, a decidedly Southern restaurant uses yellow.
Not being a southerner by birth, I prefer the sweet stuff, not the sandy kind.

The most Southern I am by birth is South Philly, but the best years of my life to now were spent down South, where I learned that one makes the best biscuits with White Lily, and grits is singular, and okra can actually taste decent if cooked right. Especially on a cold Northern night I surely do miss down home Southern cooking and hospitality.
