The left and family separations

The left is suddenly so concerned about family separations at the border but doesn’t seem to bat an eye about deadly separations in abortion. Any open borders person here care to explain this inconsistency?
You have three unrelated topics in one post and ask for explanations?
  1. The “left” is hardly alone in its opposition to family separations. Indeed, family values are traditional.
  2. Abortion is not about separation of a child, but a failure to recognize humanity, something that happens by others, including some on the far right.
  3. Open borders is a separate issue, and even then contains multiple definitions of what is open.
On a side note, this is the second time a thread has been hijacked into the area of transgender people.

Yes, thanks to “the right’s” constant use of whataboutisms, it has been

All poor who show up at our door are “our own poor.” If one were to subscribe to Christian scripture on the matter and therefore were to be told "For I was hungry, and you didn’t feed me. I was thirsty, and you didn’t give me a drink. I was a stranger, and you didn’t invite me into your home. I was naked, and you didn’t give me clothing. I was sick and in prison, and you didn’t visit me,’ should the answer be “yeah Lord, but at the time I thought you looked like a Honduran. If you had looked more like a first century Palestinian refugee family coming to Egypt on a donkey, I would have treated you differently.”

It’s almost like the religious right, upholders of the Bible that they are, forgot about Matthew 7:3-5:
Why do you notice the splinter in your brother’s eye, but do not perceive the wooden beam in your own eye? How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me remove that splinter from your eye,’ while the wooden beam is in your eye? You hypocrite,Hypocrite: the designation previously given to the scribes and Pharisees is here given to the Christian disciple who is concerned with the faults of another and ignores his own more serious offenses. remove the wooden beam from your eye first; then you will see clearly to remove the splinter from your brother’s eye.
(Yeah, yeah, I reached for the low hanging fruit and know that the left suffers from this as well. That fruit just looked too tasty.)
