Surely there have to be questions about their objectivity/balance? A soldier on deployment in Iraq is hardly going to write negative things about what’s going on, are they? They are going to either write positive things or nothing at all.

The Left has nothing to do with it. If you think that Pat Buchanan is “Left” then maybe you should find out what “Left” means.

Google for Milblogs and you’ll find a mess of them. Stateside blogs like Baldilocks, Arrgggh and Captain’s Quarters also link to many of the active duty bloggers.

Here’s a freebie for ya. You don’t need the MSM to run interference anymore.

Because a guy sitting in front of his computer is so much more reliable, objective, and balanced than a professional news organization.😛

Blogs are certainly very democratic, and on the whole a positive development, but I’d hardly rely on them for real news. Read the MSM critically, but make sure you’re carrying more than a few salt shakers when reading blogs.

I’ve read some of them. Blogs are no more than someone’s bull****, regardless of whether the blogger is sitting at home in the States or in a tent in Iraq.
