I watched the “Rogue Cut” of X-Men: Days of Future Past last night. As the title implies, it adds some scenes with Rogue, who was absent from the theatrical version (except for a brief shot at the end). There are a couple of other additional scenes as well. These were interesting, but I’m not sure they made the movie better.

Nice review of the Indy series. I pretty much agree – the odd entries are the better ones, and in many ways Last Crusade is my favorite of the series (the pairing of Harrison Ford and Sean Connery was a stroke of genius, IMHO). Crusade was also the first Indy movie that I saw on the big screen in its original run; I finally got to see the original Raiders in a theater a few years ago when it had a brief IMAX run.

Thanks! Raiders is one movie I’d see on the big screen in a heartbeat.
 
I *saw Avengers: Age of Ultron *back when it first came out. But I didn’t realize until I got the DVD for Christmas and watched one of the extra features that the city they trashed in the movie was Seoul, South Korea. Maybe everyone else recognized that at the time, but for me it was just a really big modern city.

It improved somewhat on the second viewing, but it’s still not as good as the first one.
 
the first two Kung Fu Panda movies

The second one has got to be the Dreamworks Animation’s closest thing to a masterpiece outside of The Prince of Egypt, which is far and wide a masterpiece.

Miracle on 34th Street with Edmund Gwenn, Maureen O’Hara and Natalie Wood. Great Christmas story with a lovely message about faith, hope and love.
 
I’m no great fan of Meryl Streep , but in Florence Foster Jenkins ,she deserves an academy award,excellent performance , also August : Osage County is also Excellent

I really, really want to see it. The fact that there is only one live actor (and a gaggle of talented voice actors) in the entire movie fascinates me.

Same here. To put it in baseball terms, it’s not quite the home run that Days of Future Past was, but it’s at least a stand-up double.

At the very least, the second X-Men trilogy ends better than the first one.

I don’t think the last two X Men films were that good.
 
I saw Schindler’s List in my film class recently. It is one of my favorite movies.
 
Sunrise: A Song of Two Humans (1927) - As I’ve said in a previous thread, one of the best movies I’ve ever seen.

X-Men: Apocalypse (2016) - Liked it just about as much as the first time.
