Based on the the stranglehold liberals seem to have on policy decisons in the DNC, I’m confident America will have another Republican President in 2008.

Since the MSM has lost it’s grip on information and folks can see/learn for themselves the destructiveness of liberal policies to our society I don’t see a Democrat being elected again before 2012. I don’t see the Congress changing hands for the next 30 years for the same reasons.
Yeah, the explosive advancement of the American middle class was just awful. Darn liberals.

I don’t doubt it. But, I trust that a new GOP president won’t be a right-winger like George. Much more to the center.

Where do you get your news if not from the “MSM”? That’s primarily all the newspapers and all the TV networks including Fox. Even the news on the Internet is MSM. Or is Michael Savage and Limbaugh your honest news sources?

Very possible if you’re speaking of the Presidency.

Now here, I do disagree. I’ll say by 2012.

Another fallascious assmuption. I get my news from the internet, primarily. This includes blogs of all political perspectives as well as average folks who live all over the world who are more than happy to tell you what’s happening in their part of the world if ya just take the time to talk with them.

I don’t listen to either Limbaugh or Savage. Don’t have time to listen to either, nor the need.

I’m confident we’ll get another right-winger in 2008. Hopefully, a devout catholic will emerge and be elected:)

With the possible exception of being a hawk, I’m not sure calling W a “right-winger” (by which I assume you mean conservative) is accurate. My reason for this is his stance on illegal immigration, adding a drug benefit to Medicare, and watching the size of government grow under his admin. These seem to me as being “left winger” or liberal in nature. On average he seems to be pretty close to the center.

I wound consider possible GOP hopefuls like Rudy or McCain to be on center to left of center. (my opinion…it gives away where I stand…If you haven’t guessed by now 😃 )

When?? After WWII?? After Kennedy’s tax cuts?? Or after Reagan’s tax cuts?? Or after Republican control of congress in '94, or the reemerging economy after Bush’s tax cuts, or…

Actually, I credit Bill Gates, Larry Ellison, and Michael Dell more than I do any pencil-pushing pontificator in Washington for the economic boom of the '90’s.

It all depends on who the Democrats run and who the Republicans run.

For example, if the Dems run Hillary and the GOP runs McCain, the current polls show McCain winning hands down.

Being politically connected (thru husband and political consultants across the country), I suggest that there is no way that McCain will get the Republican nomination. He has gone against the party too many times and his main concern seems to be John McCain.

I’m just sorry that so much of the electorate will fall for the line that Hillary is a “centrist” as she seems to be running to the middle. Unfortunately, most folks don’t know, or remember, how any of the politicians have voted in the past. Sad.

The country is split down the middle for the most part. I don’t see that changing. Therefore either party could potentially win.

If the War in Iraq does not improve, Republicans will be hurt.

The Republicans do have some things going in their favor. The economy is currently robust. The electoral map is slightly in their favor. Large money donors such as George Soros and the AFL-CIO seem unlikely to pony up as much cash during the next go around.

There are always wild cards like a third party nomination, recession and/or a terrorist attack.

In short, it’s way too early to predict.
Nobody understands Iraq, and everyone is tired of it. It is hard to imagine any President who couldn’t figure out a way to royally botch it up, maybe sending the entire Middle East, our nipple of prosperity, into a tailspin the process. And the Fed is getting heat for raising interest rates too slowly. With the incumbent leaving office, too… the wild cards must be feeling their hearts beginning to flutter, even as their biological clocks keep them awake at night.

You’re right. Way too early. But not anyone in the current administration. Not Condi Rice or Mrs. Clinton, except as white-hot VP choices.

BTW, why have I not heard that possibility? “Why, gee, I really wasn’t running, I think so much of the other candidates, but since you asked, I would be honored to add what I could to the ticket.”

Despite their flaws, may God in his wisdom and grace BLESS this country with a Democrat for President. We have been scourged enough with evils of Republicans who pay lip service to Christ but yet do the devils work.
Yes, as opposed to the abortion loving, euthanasia supporting, gay marriage loving, let’s use embryo’s as farms for stem cells Democrats. The same Democrats who think taxing you into the poorhouse is for the common good. The same Democrats who emulate Karl Marx as opposed to the Founding Fathers. The same Democrats who were so shocked by how mouch people of faith played a part in the '04 election, they are now acting like they have such strong faith with their little PR stunts intended to show their “religious” sides. Shades of Bill Clinton making up stories of burning churches in his hometown as a boy, or flashing his Bible to the tv cameras all while cheating on his wife. Show me a few Democrat politicians who follow Christ. Please. Who? John Kerry? Pfffft. He’s about as Catholic as the Dalai Lama. Heck, Bush is more Catholic than Kerry.

Bush isn’t perfect by any stretch, but I can’t think of a single Democrat who would be better.

Truth is, if the Dems don’t take back the House and/or Senate, their chances are that much poorer of winning the White House. Heck, look at Dean, he’s all but admitting the Democrats need to figure out just what their message is. They don’t even know! Great leadership qualities there.

My boss thinks Hillary Clinton would win hands down against any Republican. I don’t agree. It seems like the New York Senate race might be interesting. If Clinton loses or if it’s even within 10 points Hillary will not be the Democratic Nominee in 08. That’s my prediction. I have no idea who the Republicans will put up but I really don’t like any of the people that have been discussed so far.

How about Jeb Bush in 08!! LOL!

Yes. She will have all the guns of the Democratic party behind her on that one. As vital as all Senate seats are, that one is *hugely *important.
