Catholicism has probably done more u-turns than any other Christian denomination short perhaps of Mormonism
lol, what a load of bs.

Sacred Tradition prevents any so called ‘u-turns’, because it ensures people continue to teach and practice unadulterated what was originally handed down to them.
Tradition itself is something that adapts and changes to suit the needs of the age.
Well, that just contradicts the very definition of the word ‘tradition’ It’s not a tradition if it changes with every age.

‘Sexual orientation is a core component of a person’s identity which requires fulfilment through relationships with others of the same orientation.’ "

Will it be permissible to suggest in any context (eg. religious school) something contrary? How can it be permissible to discriminate against conduct, when to do so is held to be discrimination on the basis of identity? Does the court deny that a person who holds they are homosexual might also hold the view that same sex sexual relationships are wrong?
Is the author confusing conduct with belief and discrimination with free speech in order to claim to be a victim?

The law is crystal clear on religious beliefs and free speech. The law, at least in the US, does not prevent religions from teaching, in their churches and schools such, things as “homosexual conduct is bad” just as it does not prohibit teaching of creationism.

Same-sex marriage: Governments should 'keep out of the bedroom' Catholic Archbishop says Catholic News
During his homily, the Archbishop argued the only kind of relationship the state should have an interest in recognising and regulating was heterosexual marriage. “Governments should, in general, keep out of the friendship business and out of the bedroom,” Archbishop Fisher said. He spoke about heterosexual marriage being primarily focused around the importance of children. “The only kind of friendship the state has a proper interest in recognising and regulating is heterosexual marriage, be…

Same-sex marriage: Governments should 'keep out of the bedroom' Catholic Archbishop says Catholic News
It’s great that this got a little bit of press. It’s unfortunate he used the words “the bedroom” as that will make the general public dismiss the whole commentary. I’m happy that Archibosjop Fisher if trying to be prominent on this issue in Australia at the moment but given the sex abuse scandal the Catholic Church has really lost all tangible credibility in this country for the majority of secular and cultural Catholics

The capacity of various clergy to draw conclusions at odds with the obvious nature of marriage - a sexual relationship - is breathtaking:

Father Rod Bower, known for his thought-provoking signs outside a Gosford church, on the NSW Central Coast, wants those in the Anglican community to know they would not be denying their faith by voting Yes.
Father Brwer gets it.
“It’s a human rights issue,” he said.

"While you can still hold the traditional view of marriage as a Christian, you can also support people’s human rights."

see http://calgary.ctvnews.ca/alberta-g...ic-school-s-stance-on-sex-education-1.3647944 The Catholic school superintendents there, opposed to changes in school curriculum the province is planning, said their schools "would not teach anything that promotes homosexual relationships or lifestyles ‘contrary to church teaching.’" The province’s education minister that that such a refusal is “completely unacceptable”… “Any alternative sex education curriculum created by the Ca…
Catholic Schools (private schools in general) in Australia all receive some government funding (which has always struck me as reasonable given Catholics pay no less tax than anyone else). The States set all the rules for educational curriculum and other parameters, but AFAIK, there has not been any historical event whereby governments have compelled Catholic schools to do anything that those schools would find objectionable (on religious grounds). Let’s hope that does not change.
