I see no judgment but rather resultant and obvious conclusions drawn from the words spoken by the man himself. Further, we are asked to call upon the gifts of the Spirit, one of which is discernment and to defend that which we know to be spiritually sound and true.

I think catharina and all the other Pfleger supporters know this too, and why they seem to have suddenly disappeared.

Liberal, conservative, or in between, anyone with a modicum of common sense would do the same. All who honor the likes of this priest have clearly lost their way.

Those are actions and you count them up against him.
That’s a contradiction of 1COR 13:1-13.

A priest is being honored by his Bishop.

A columnist (of no specialstanding in the Church) calls on folks to criticize this.

When Thomas O’Brien, the Catholic bishop of Phoenix was arrested in a deadly hit-and-run accident after police traced a license plate number to his car and found the windshield caved in, and when Archbishop John R. Roach of St. Paul and Minneapolis, pleaded guilty to drunk driving and was sentenced to 38 hours in jail, both the Phoenix Police and the Minneapolis Police said that those bishops were wrong, and they didn’t care whether or not the Vatican agreed with them!

They don’t get a pass just because they wear mitres!

The “argument” is this. A Priest is being honored by his Bishop. A Catholic writes a column expressing how scandalized she is and she gets vilified.

Sometimes, the Bishop does something wrong and the people call him out on it. Ever consider that?

It’s remarkable (to me) that a columnist and her followers would dwell on past history of a priest who was, in fact, corrected by his bishop, who did a two-week suspension at the will of his bishop, who is now fully restored and honored by his bishop - and instead of commending priest and bishop who have LIVED that history, her coterie follows the moods of the uninvolved columnist!

Now that’s disgusting. Maybe Malkin could (instead) suggest that the business community offer jobs to the parishoners at St. Sabina’s Oops. That would be too kind and Christian and easy and charitable and helpful.

Instead, stone the priest and kick the bishop?

Because Pfleger is a liar. After he threatened the gun owner by saying he’ll snuff you out. He has the audacity to say he didn’t know what that meant. Of course he knew. Pfleger scandalizes Catholics with his support for Wright and Farrakhan and has Belafonte speaking from St. Sabina’s pulpit supporting a woman’s “right” to an abortion. Has he apologised for that? He’s a disgrace.

In FEB 2008, Belafonte spoke at St. Sabina’s.
You could send a note to Father Pfleger demanding an apology.

Otherwise you might want to accept the fact that
this priest is at peace with his bishop.
An OK from you is not necessary.

Will you do the same of a orthodox priest?

And here’s an interesting thing: You’re keeping a record of the wrongs of the poster who is criticizing this diSSenter priest. Will you admit your contradiction of 1 COR 13?
