Oh, I get it now. You guys mean Muslim in the sense of submissiveness to God.

We Christians have an Arabic expression with a word derived from the same root as “muslim”: “Aslamna amerna lal Rab” , which means “We have surrendered, (or more suitably here), handed over, our cases to the Lord.” But translated into English, “aslamna” would mean, “ we have become Muslims”, obviously not the case.

Thanks for pointing this out, it was rather obvious, I must say. But I’m afraid some of my Muslim acquaintances had misled me by insisting that Jesus actually performed Muslim rituals. To which I replied with a simple no.

the Muslim Allah
Allah is the word in Arab for God. It’s not a name, just a substantive. Coptic Christian also say “Allah” when we say “God”. I agree that Muslims aren’t the fruit of the Apostles even if they respect Jesus Christ. But they refuse Him His Divine second nature.
However getting Middle Eastern Christians a shelter is probably what Pope Francis and others have in mind. Things are hard for Christians in the birthplace of Christianity. Saving those people is probably more important than calling Muslims heretic? The Crusades solved nothing and that is that. The Bishop of Rome stopped them and that is a fact.
People cannot summon a Crusade without the Pope’s approval. It is a fact.
