Oh, I get it now. You guys mean Muslim in the sense of submissiveness to God.
We Christians have an Arabic expression with a word derived from the same root as “muslim”: “Aslamna amerna lal Rab” , which means “We have surrendered, (or more suitably here), handed over, our cases to the Lord.” But translated into English, “aslamna” would mean, “ we have become Muslims”, obviously not the case.
Thanks for pointing this out, it was rather obvious, I must say. But I’m afraid some of my Muslim acquaintances had misled me by insisting that Jesus actually performed Muslim rituals. To which I replied with a simple no.
