There will never be dialogue between the two religions. Last time, someone tried to have something, the islamist pulled out i.e. the imam-priest soccer match. If you can’t get together to play some little sport, then you definitely can’t get together on big issues like religion.

Is this like Sufi? Or do you have a larger view of Jesus or something?

Hi
Thanks for your question. I give hereunder an overview for our friends here from our official website, alislam.org/introduction/index.html

Ahmadiyya Muslim Community
An Overview
The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community is a religious organization, international in its scope, with branches in over 185 countries in Africa, North America, South America, Asia, Australasia, and Europe. This is the most dynamic denomination of Islam in modern history, with worldwide membership exceeding tens of millions.

The Ahmadiyya Community was established in 1889 by Hadhrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (1835-1908) in a small and remote village, Qadian, in the Punjab, India. He claimed to be the expected reformer of the latter days, the Awaited One of the world community of religions (The Mahdi and Messiah). The Community he started is an embodiment of the benevolent message of Islam – peace, universal brotherhood, and submission to the Will of God – in its pristine purity. Hadhrat Ahmad proclaimed Islam as the religion of man: “The religion of the people of the right path” (98:6)

With this conviction, the Ahmadiyya Community, within a century, has reached the corners of the Earth. Wherever the Community is established, it endeavors to exert a constructive influence of Islam through social projects, educational institutes, health services, Islamic publications and construction of mosques, despite being bitterly persecuted in some countries. Ahmadi Muslims have earned the distinction of being a law-abiding, peaceful, persevering and benevolent community.

The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community in Islam was created under divine guidance with the objective to rejuvenate Islamic moral and spiritual values. It encourages interfaith dialogue, and diligently defends Islam and tries to correct misunderstandings about Islam in the West. It advocates peace, tolerance, love and understanding among followers of different faiths. It firmly believes in and acts upon the Qur’anic teaching: “There is no compulsion in religion.” (2:257) It strongly rejects violence and terrorism in any form and for any reason.

The Community offers a clear presentation of Islamic wisdom, philosophy, morals and spirituality as derived from the Holy Qur’an and the practice (Sunnah) of the Holy Prophet of Islam, Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be on him). Some Ahmadis’, like late Sir Muhammad Zafrulla Khan (who served as the first Foreign Minister of Pakistan; President of the 17th General Assembly of U.N.O.; President and Judge of the International Court of Justice, at the Hague), and Dr. Abdus Salam (the Nobel Laureate in Physics in 1979), have also been recognized by the world community for their outstanding services and achievements.

After the demise of its founder, the Ahmadiyya Community has been headed by his elected successors – Khalifas. The present Head of the Movement, Hadhrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, was elected in 2003. His official title is Khalifatul Massih V.
Thanks

Hi
As against Hinduism or Buddhism there are so many similarities and common religious history that useful dialogue between Muslims and Christians is very much possible, politics leaving aside.
Thanks

Hi
I don’t mind if you like Buddha, afterall He was a ProphetMessenger, ChosenOne of God and he was one of the PerfectMen of GodAllahYHWH like Moses or Jesus or Muhammad, they are all brothers following Word from the same One GodAllahYHWH. When you will understand Muhammad truly by reading Quran yourself then you would like him also. I love all these people.
Thanks

What???

You have to be kidding me.

I encourage people to read the Quran as well.
I need to do more, I have been to Islam online, and done a brief and cursory glance at the basics, but its far more complicated than meets the eye.

Hadiths, ect. knowing the all knowing Allah in the Koran really is not helpfull unless one knows all the extra Koranical stuff that is tied into it as you may know already!

I had no idea how very complex things can get beyond the Koran. And I have not even a clue about the Koran. Just what I happen to glance at on that islam site that wont let me post there, maybe they dont like the user name I chose, go figure.

Paarsurrey,
Your posts bring a smile to my face.

Everyone on these boards are invited to participate at the Muslim forum that I usually frequent where God-willing, you will be able to engage in meaningful dialogue with and obtain a lot more info from many other Muslims there than from just the few Muslims here.

Over at that forum, you might find me to being a teeny weeny bit more “aggressive” towards Christianity than I am here… but that is to be expected I think.

For those interested, kindly register yourself at the following forum and ask all the questions on matters related to Islam that you wish… or even post stuff about the Catholic faith… and God-willing, it would be of mutual benefit to you and all the forum members there as well.:

Until Muslims begin to condemn the actions of those terrorists which fill our newspapers and our nightly news programs, I’m not sure there is much to dialogue about.

You either support terrorism or you don’t, but I hear little but silence coming from so-called Muslim “moderates”.

Perhaps “moderates” are simply afraid of being murdered by their own brothers, but I can’t help wondering if they are not secretly condoning the terrorists in the advancement of your religion.

If this is not the case, then I think you have much cause for concern as these extremists appear to be successfully hijacking (chosen advisedly) your otherwise “peaceful” faith.

It is the same ‘hamba2han’ that I use on this forum.

I have not posted there in the last couple of months or so but I do visit and read a few of the threads there regularly.

I hope that you enjoy your discussions there as much as I have from my discussions on this forum.
