See? This is part of the problem there’s a callousness to domestic violence committed against men. The documentary also exposed this. There was a feminist who was interviewed (a man mind you) who sharply stated “I don’t like thinking about sympathy for any of this” and stormed out of the interview.
And there’s this article. This is Jezbel which is a major feminist website. The whole article is making fun of domestic violence against men. The women admitted to beating their boyfriends and interpreted it as funny even saying “he deserved it”. Just reading the comments section of that article is heartbreaking. Men talking about their experience with domestic violence and how they can’t get help.
And what’s so shocking is the article IS STILL UP. Even after seeing the comments a moderator didn’t take it down. It seems pretty hypocritical to me.
Radical feminists are stopping it. They have consistently protested it and shut down any talk of them. What I’m getting at is that if you care passionately about an issue (like putting together a men’s shelter or being vulnerable with other men), nothing will stop you.
**Radical feminists are stopping it. They have consistently protested it and shut down any talk of them. **
Also, marketing of domestic violence always only features females as victims, so that’s also to blame.
This is the callousness I’m talking about. No one cares because men aren’t allowed to talk about it.
Radical feminists are stopping you from putting a male who is a victim of abuse up in a spare bedroom?Radical feminists are stopping it. They have consistently protested it and shut down any talk of them.
I can’t even find a case of these boogeyman feminists shutting down a domestic violence shelter for men in the first place.Radical feminists are stopping you from putting a male who is a victim of abuse up in a spare bedroom?
From what I understand, there’s a dearth of places (and resources) for abused men.I can’t even find a case of these boogeyman feminists shutting down a domestic violence shelter for men in the first place.
That’s definitely a thing, we’re just wondering if radical feminism is to blame for it.From what I understand, there’s a dearth of places (and resources) for abused men.
Ok…but it doesn’t look like it’s because every time a shelter opens protestors force it to close it’s doors. From what I understand, there’s a dearth of places (and resources) for abused men.
Let’s say 20 MRA’s each put $100/month into a fund for abused men. We’re back to supply and demand and the fact that MRAs really do limit their activities to complaining online.
Or a hotline? How about a national hotline?Let’s say 20 MRA’s each put $100/month into a fund for abused men.
That’s $2000/month which should be enough to pay the rent and expenses of a male victim of domestic abuse.
If the fund is not used, the amount accumulates. Over the course of a year, if no payments for victims are paid out, then the $24,000 makes the down payment for a house that could shelter multiple male domestic abuse victims.
Or, given their affinity for the internet, even a chat line would be doable.Or a hotline? How about a national hotline?

But it’s feminists fault.![]()
I thought it referred to that scene in The Matrix, choose the red pill and wake up to the reality of being a man oppressed by those radical feminists.I’ll always wonder where the phrase “red pill” came from. Thanks for the explanation!
Totally not a politically correct thing to say, but…
This conversation is amusing to follow.
I was just guessing at it’s origins.I thought it referred to that scene in The Matrix, choose the red pill and wake up to the reality of being a man oppressed by those radical feminists.
And women too thought, correct? I’d say it is an issue in both directions or neither, correct? From what I understand, there’s a dearth of places (and resources) for abused men.
I think in many cases the issues are very different. The biggest issue I’ve heard from guys who were abused was less the lack of things like shelters and more difficulties in therapy and counseling and especially in finding support groups. Many found that there weren’t men-only support groups, and that women’s support groups were often reluctant to admit men because many of the victims weren’t comfortable around men. Also that there are unique social issues that affect male victims and therapists were often inexperienced with them. And women too thought, correct? I’d say it is an issue in both directions or neither, correct?
Do you think I agree with Obama, Pope Francis, Bill Clinton, Emanuel Macron, the trash that Hollywood produces, or the CEO of Starbucks? That touches on another issue. The problem is not feminists so much as the white knights who enable them. With the exception of the God Emperor, very few men in the West are willing to do or say anything that actually challenges feminism be it in religion, politics, entertainment or business.Totally not a politically correct thing to say, but…
It takes a certain kind of man to look around and think that in a world where men outnumber women in virtually every national government and international governing body, in the highest echelons of business and entertainment, and where men lead every major religion, men are somehow held down, oppressed, and face large-scale discrimination at the hands of unnamed, shadowy “feminists”.
If you ask me, both the MRA and feminist movements are equally pointless. Women have equality with men in the law in most western countries. The only purpose of modern feminism seems to be to push abortion and reproductive “rights” and shame women out of the home and into the workplace. Never have I heard a self-declared feminist say that women should be helped to stay at home and mind their children if they so-wished.Do you think I agree with Obama, Pope Francis, Bill Clinton, Emanuel Macron, the trash that Hollywood produces, or the CEO of Starbucks? That touches on another issue. The problem is not feminists so much as the white knights who enable them.
