The Red Pill: How radical feminism is demeaning to men

I watched both links and I honestly don’t understand the message they are trying to give. They are showing a group of people fighting for rights and being attacked in effort to silence them by another group of people. That is how any group got rights. If there were no oponents of the requested rights, then there would not be a need to fight for rights:shrug:

However, OP, your post appears to have a strong implication that women should not have rights because men no longer have them and it is offensive.

I agree that men of sexual abuse and violence deserve a voice. However, you also seem to be sending out a message the way to fix the problem is to take away women’s rights.

As well OP, you have stated that this group of men is a good thing because they are againts abortion. News flash: A lot of men are againts abortion but that does not make them good men. There is nothing noble about a man who could never get pregnant say abortion is wrong. The only time it is noble is when a woman has an unwanted pregnancy and has the baby.

Plus, the “paper abortion” is notoriously popular in men’s rights circles.

I just looked through all of OP’s posts and I do not see where he is implying that the way to solve men’s problems is to take rights away from women.

Hi Anglewannabe,

Thanks so much for your response. I’d encourage you to watch the full documentary as it addresses the things you’re talking about in detail.

I’m extremely confused why you think that the post I gave would imply women shouldn’t have rights? Of course they should! I’m not going to lie, I stopped reading as I found that a bit over the top. Women are deserving of equal rights and given the fact that I posted videos from a feminist there’s no reason that should be called into question.

Thanks and God bless!

I don’t know about the OP, but it’s not at all hard to find Red Pill guys who want to take away women’s right.

But this documentary is not about those Red Pillers. Like the OP explained, red pill is just a catch-all term for opening your eyes to a counter-cultural reality.

Hi Xantippe,

It’s important to distinguish between “red pill guys” and a documentary that just so happens to be titled “Red Pill”. I do not condone misogyny in any way shape or form.

That being said, we can have an open dialogue about the documentary and what you think about it. In my defense, I didn’t pick the title of the documentary!

Thanks!

Not so much–it’s been claimed by the manosphere/MRAs/pickup artists. If you google “Red Pill” the search results will return a pretty specific profile of results.

They may claim it, but they didn’t copyright it. It is also frequently used by anti-SJWs in the context of snapping people out of the errors of our times. My friends and I use the term red pill in the context I have stated in the previous post in lower case letters to differentiate from the Red Pillers that are man-haters.

Your body. Your choice. Your wallet, not mine. That sounds like equality to me.
While we’re playing, how do you feel about women’s suffrage?

Do you think that mothers should be allowed some custody, or are you for default paternal custody?

Do you think that if you were married, that you should have the right to hit your wife if you wanted to?

Does a wife ever get to say no to sex with her husband?

OP, I watched the sneak peek earlier today, but didn’t reply because I don’t really have much of value to say. I found it interesting and I wouldn’t mind seeing the whole documentary. I didn’t see anything problematic in the sneak peek from a Catholic point of view.

The “red pill” term originated on a particular reddit sub. Unfortunately, having been to that sub, it’s pretty much exactly what people are saying - “opening people’s eyes” to the fact that all modern women are just out to take advantage of men, get as much money as possible while cheating with a hotter man, that sort of thing.

Terms and phrases evolve overtime. Each to his own.

Yup.

Most women, like most men have no business voting. I am not a believer in democracy. Given that feminists have a tendency to vote to restrict male freedom and redistribute their wealth, giving women the vote was a stupid idea.
Do you think that mothers should be allowed some custody, or are you for default paternal custody?
Shared custody should be the default. The only exceptions would be proof of unfitness to be a parent or consensual agreement.
Do you think that if you were married, that you should have the right to hit your wife if you wanted to?
No, the battery statute covers this.
Does a wife ever get to say no to sex with her husband?
Yes.

If you say “red pill” even in non-caps, people who are familiar with the term are going to think that you’re into militant misogyny.

There is a ladies’ auxiliary:

reddit.com/r/RedPillWomen/

You’re going to create a lot of misunderstandings if you try to use the term your way–at least online. It may be different in your local area.

Unfortunately, when the original group is still using the phrase, and is the loudest one, it’s not really “evolution” so much as “trying to make a phrase mean what it doesn’t mean to most people.”

I have only used it online.

Well, I remember one such type of comment right here on CAF. I’d have to go find the post.

Oh, I watched the trailer and sneak preview, and I would have to see the entire documentary before making an informed comment.
