Given that animals are endangered and man is their worst enemy, would it be wrong to furnish them with automatic weapons and ammo? If no, please explain. Likewise, if yes.

If we did, then hunting might finally become the “sport” it’s always been claimed to be.

what about the right to bare arms? Don’t we all have the right to wear short sleeved shirts, as promised in the Clothing-stitution?

I don’t know, aren’t short sleeves immodest? Always? No matter the weather, the culture, the circumstances? Certainly never at Mass!!!

If we start letting people wear short sleeves, maybe one day women will want to wear PANTS.:eek::eek:

😉

The right to bare arms. Yes but the the rest of the shirt must not be in fringe.
The right to bear arms. Only bears have the right to bear arms.
Right to arm bears. Well that depends. in Yogi’s case he would just use it to rob pickenickers with his lackey booboo. But the three bears should have had the right to protect their property from intruders and porridge stealers and pop a cap in lil GL. Smokey would be target practicing and his ricochet would start a wildfire. Polar bears could be armed but they would shoot baby seals. Pandas would be imprisoned by their government. Special agent Oso is a 00 and is licensed to kill.

As John Stossel maintains, the way to ensure that animals do not become extinct is to begin eating them. The market will respond and those endangered animals will soon be plentiful.

sorry I totally read this thread wrong. I finally just got it!!!😃 sorry

I don’t think bears have the needed ability to grasp an assault rifle properly, are terrible at learning things and while they have good hand-eye coordination, would have no clue regarding loading a fresh clip, even if shown a hundred times. And clearing a jam? Forget it.

Peace,

Ed 🙂

The bears’ capability in using guns sounds similar to that of most New Yorkers, except for their good hand-eye coordination.

Right for who? Them or us?

Or intrinsically right to arm bears?

Actually, come to think of it, nature has her own built in fail safe systems - whenever one population gets too large at the expense of another it collapses - eg., snowy owls and lemmings, or wolves and moose.

We won’t have to arm nature, nature outguns us already.

They would have to pass the background check and take a gun safety course.

Truth,

Why would you pose such a rediculous post. You actually expect anyone to respond to this. Let me get this right. You are asking if it is Ok:thumbsup: to furnish animals with automatic weapons and ammo. This is absolutely ludicrous.:bluelite:

Think honestly…

Give animals weapons. What is it you want us to do, become some sort of commie pinko and share everything…let them earn the money everyone else earns to buy them…first point.

Next, giving away weapons to animals implies that we trust all animals without considering that there should be no effort to do a background check…have you seen how some of those animals live and what they do to each other…no way…:yukonjoe:

Next, they will be coming back after the gift asking for modifications, have you seen some of the paws on those suckers…

So, I think that asking if you should give away armsto animals is absoulutely the most incredulous thing I have ever seen anyone post…give me a break…:coolinoff:

While I know this isn’t particularly the same as arming bears, I do believe it’s slightly analogous. Anyways, ever since witnessing the historically accurate tragedy of Mighty Joe Young, I’ve planned on making it my life long mission to protect them from despicable poachers. Since than, I’ve planned on much of my life being devoted to infiltrating their wolf packs. Random factoid, I’ve heard from a good authority (da’ internet) that the proper terminology of a group of guerillas is in fact a wolf pack. Back to the situation at hand, once having successfully infiltrated the wolf pack and befriending the leading silverback. Side note: at some point I’ll likely be tempted to challenge the silverback to a judo match, winner becomes wolf pack leader. If that happens successfully, all these plans are tossed asunder, as I’ll than be focused on claiming king of the hill and teaching them the splendid art of geocaching. Wait, where was I? Oh, assuming I don’t become wolf pack leader, I’d like to even the odds of the guerillas surviving poacher encounters. Primarily by training them in swordsmanship. While they may not appreciate the elegance of true nihonto, they’re likely to become fond of some Roman gladiatorial blades. With proper feline training and armaments, we should be able to successfully resist poacher, land developers, and those wishing to steal our candy. One last factoid, guerillas are in fact listed as primates according to the Aristotle-Linnaeus classification system, or so I read online once. In conclusion, I agree with the right to arm bears and… wait… something shiny, sorry I have to run!

The right to arm bears – extends only as far as* swords* (and like weapons).
