It was not the holiest time in Church History that belongs to the Early Church Fathers time period
Has anyone here said otherwise?

And wouldn’t it really be the Apostolic Age and not the Early Church Fathers?

He’ll become a saint one of these days. It just might take forever.

Writing books isn’t a prerequisite for canonization, otherwise, Archbishop Fulton Sheen and Thomas Merton would’ve been canonized by now.

Well, talking the humility of moving from the papal palace to an apartment no better than those who visit the Vatican.

Opening the door for those disenfranchised by the Church policies of the past, especially the divorced and remarried Catholics who are seeking to return to the Church. This alone is what Jesus would’ve done.

Showing the world that the Church has an open door for sinners.

In all, Pope Francis is the example of Christ on earth.

Why was there a filial correction issued, then, after he produced Amoris Laetitia?

It wasn’t a correction but a letter asking for clarification and they were in error making it public.

asking for clarification
Because they saw possible errors. That alone is concerning.
Clarification does not mean errors. It means something is not clear. They do not understand. That is not the same as an error. Your constant pounding on the Pope is more concerning.

No, they spotted inconsistencies between Amoris Laetitia and the teachings of Pope St. John Paul II. That’s why they had questions.

Have you ever read about st Therese’s Little Way?

We can’t all be pop sensations

IMO, Sheen hasnt been canonized yet just because of the whole legal debacle. Now that it shows signs of resolution, I think it will be soon.

Merton is on my ‘Need to learn more about’ list, but, from what I have heard, he’s kinda divisive and controversial in some areas.

Jim,
The Pope Emeritus is acknowledged by everyone who knows about these things,
As possibly the most talented and gifted theologian of modern times.

May I suggest you read his books.

If somebody can’t clearly see the sanctity of Father Benedict, then they are blinded by ideology (probably left leaning/liberal) pure and simple.

The same goes for someone who can’t see the clear sanctity of His Holiness Pope Francis - they can’t see it because their conservative/right wing ideology blinds them to it.

Both Pope Francis and Father Benedict have transcended ideological constraints by their abundant holiness and faith.

Pope Francis said in his weekly address, don’t dialogue with the devil if you feel harassed. He said what do children do when feeling harassed, they run to their mums.

Pope Francis said use this example and just run to your mum. Our Lady.

No, but how about a cup of French pressed Pope’s Choice coffee? (Please Note: This uploaded content is no longer available.)(Please Note: This uploaded content is no longer available.)
