First, Catholics must believe that Our Lord is coming a second time, full of glory, to judge the living and the dead. It was promissed by God Himself.

Second, it really shouldn’t matter when He is returning because we should try to be out of mortal sin, justs, or even saints at all times. In other words, we need to be prepared always. Having saod this, I have a theory that humanity still have a few hundred years to go before the end of times.

Third, this rapture thing is a protestant theory. We don’t know the details of how the second coming is going to be. All we know is a general picture, thanks to the visions of Saint John the Apostle.

Perhaps, but the Prophet Daniel also had two separate revelations of the same events: the interpretation of Nebuchadnezer’s dream in chapter 2 and his own prophetic dream in chapter 7. Granted, several decades elapsed between the two visions.

The last verse of Battle Hymn of the Republic: “I can almost hear the Trumpet sound, the Lord’s return is near, but there’s still so many people lost, somehow they’ve got to hear! Lord, please give me one more hour, one more day, just one more year, with your Truth we’re marching on!”
