Good morning and let’s discuss the entire account of Cornelius. We need to go from Acts 10:1 through 11:18. You will find so much anti-Catholic Theology in those passages, that you will be sorry that you wanted to discuss Cornelius. 🙂
Go ahead, explain it to us please. We have been waiting for this.

It seems to me like he answered them.

What scripture states is not what it sounds like it states. Jesus is not really like “Adam”, because his actions really don’t affect the whole human race. His grace is only sufficient for the Elect, so he is really a better reflection of Noah than Adam. The Apostles just missed the mark on that one. When Scripture states or implies that Jesus came for the whole world, it does not really mean that either. It means only the Elect who are in the world.

God’s grace is preservative, and is here to give all those that belong to Christ an opportunity to repent. It staves off the 'god of this world" even from the damned, so that there will be more time for the Elect to be found in Christ.

Doesn’t that answer your question?

Hey, since 2nd does not know, can you tell me when Cornelius was justified?
Is this correct, Adam?

**All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God because we are all made in the image of fallen Adam, including Mary **who rejoiced in God Her savior because she knew that she was a sinner. Original sin is real.

Mary’s Song of Praise: The Magnificat

And Mary said,

“My soul magnifies the Lord,
and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior,
Here is one. You know what the Catholic view of Mary and her sinlessness is.

No one in this thread was talking about Mary, you are the one that felt the need to bring her into the conversation.

That’s a completely untrue statement when you study church history. Study missions after the Reformation and you will find the most passionate missionaries and Evangelists were Calvinists! The First Great Awakening in America with Jonathan Edwards was grounded in Calvinism! Study about the great heroes of Protestant missionaries, and you will see it’s stacked on the Calvinist side!
Yes - the Catholic Martyrs of Gorkum who were killed by Calvinists in the 16th century are great examples of their passionate fervor . . .

Oh - speaking of history - study the Early Church and all of the Catholic heroes therein.

**PS - Are you ever going to answer post #690 where I rebutted your claims about the “invisible Church”? **
I thought not . . .

And are you trying to say that the Catholic Church did not burn Protestants at the stake? Owning a copy of the Bible meant the BBQ. 🤷

This is a correction of essential biblical theology. Mary was a sinner who rejoiced in God her Savior. Just because it is Catholic theology does not make it biblical theology. We are discussing about the fall of mankind, and Adam’s headship.

The point is that your history has many of the very same blemishes that you hurl at the Catholic Church.

PS - You answered before I could include the following:

I think the way you continue to tread Tweetymom in an un-Christ like manner, you should be invisible to us.

woah! He may have known about the Catholic view of Mary and her sinlessness, but I had no idea.

So Catholics actually believe she was sinless??

Mary rejoiced in God her savior wo saved her BEFORE she was able to fall into sin.
Funny how Calvin himself believed in this fact.
Why don’t YOU??

By your same reasoning, just because it is Calvnistic theology it doesn’t make it biblical theology. Answer me this: do you think Catholicism is opposed to biblical theology?

Hint: There’s nothing wrong with Mary rejoicing with as God her savior and Catholics have always affirmed this. There’s no opposition with the Immaculate Conception.

Yes, indeed. We believe Mary, the vessel which held the Divine 2nd Person of the Trinity, was pure, holy and undefiled–i.e. sinless.

**Weak response. **
Your hit-and-run posts are simply evidence of your ignorance of Scripture and the Catholic Church established by Christ.

We are here to discuss and debate and I will not allow would-be Catholics like Tweetymom to misrepresent the Church.

Okay, now do you understand that Mary is part of the discussion of the fall, the depravity of mankind, Adam as our representative, etc. Did Adam represent Mary in the fall in regards to federal headship? If not, did Mary need Jesus Christ as Savior? If not, is Mary united to Christ? For me, the invisible church (body of Christ) consists of all sinners who have been redeemed by Christ throughout redemptive history (OT and NT saints alike). I believe in the remnant church, all who have been chosen by God who are saved by grace. If Mary was sinless, how can she be part of the remnant saved by grace?

Wow. I didn’t know that, elvis! 👍

That does indeed put a little bit of a wrinkle into some anti-Mary Calvinists’ theology, doesn’t it!

YUP - so did the early Reformers - along with her perpetual virginity and veneration of her.

My question to Protestants is WHY don’t you guys believe in the same things your founders believed in??

I will ignore you since you continue to abuse a 71 year old Catholic Great grandma who loves the Lord Jesus Christ out of protest of your unchrist-like behavior to a sister in Christ.

Don’t let others devour Tweetymom!

And once again thank you elvis, I feel full in Jesus everytime you and others insult me. You do not hurt my feelings only make me glory in our King, Rememger Pro. 13:3 He who guards his lips guards his soul.
