The View is ao opinion program strongly advocating the Cultere of Hedonism and Death.

No good christian should watch the view casually.

I think I’d be more alarmed if people like this loved the Pope! If they hate him this much, you know he’s on the right side of things.

Which is why Christ told us to rejoice when the world hates us. It shows that we are walking in truth!

God Bless Pope Benedict XVI.:angel1:
:amen: Exactly what I was thinking. Its difficult to hear people bashing what and who you love though. Rosie, and alot of people need our prayers.

Thanks, adrift!

Making fun of the Eucharist is about the only thing that I don’t tolerate kindly.

Though I have to ask… we’re not suspossed to let the Eucharist touch our teeth? Was this some pre-Vatican II thing?
That was poor catechesis, at best it was a custom that some of us were taught. Rosie is younger than I am so she is definitely not a pre-Vat. 2 child. I made my first communion right before the promulgation of Vat. 2 (as in one or two years before). Truth is we should chew the host (as I have been so eloquently, and sometimes not so nicely told in other threads on just this subject here on CAF. Note, most people are nice about it, just a few who weren’t and they just kept repeating their not so niceness in as many different ways as they could until the thread was closed.)

I do have to say that I was never impressed by “The View”. When it first came out I found the group of women to be crass and, well, spewing their views of life - guess that was the point of the show.

As for other talk shows, I think that right now the only ones I will watch (when I have the time) are Ellen and now Rachel Rae. I used to like Rosie’s talk show until she lit into Tom Selleck and though he handled it really well - that was the beginning of the end for me watching Rosie and I had voiced my disappointment in her to a friend who pointed out to me that I should be praying for her, so using that philosophy, that is what I try to do with all those in the entertainment business who really irritate me

I think this makes me glad that I’m not home on weekdays between 8am and 6pm. I miss all the daytime shows. Although I wouldn’t mind being home to watch “The Price is Right.” 🙂

I think Elizabeth is. She has stood up against the other girls like Joy and Barbara in pro-life issues. They were screaming at her about how she won’t let teenagers raped by their uncles use the morning after pill. She calmly said that it is a baby in the womb and killing it is not right. Then Barbara tells her to stop yelling and that as adults we don’t act this way in discussions. Hello??? I feel for Elizabeth! I guess she is the only voice in the Hell known as the view that has morals and will stand up for herself.

Has Babs told Rosie to zip it yet??? I e-mailed ABC but of course no response.

a two bit lesbian like you with minimal talent for anything other than showing what a moron you are is not going to have much luck either.

.
While I understand the anger you may feel, I don’t think these kind of comments are going to do anything to bring homosexuals to your way of thinking. I appreciate the many comments here that used more temperate language.

If I were a lesbian or even somebody who thinks there is no problem with homosexuality and I read this thread’s opening salvo, I would definitely see where the lines are drawn in the sand and feel that the Catholic church has no place for me. This kind of comment will only drive our homosexual brethren from the church.

Do you think it’s possible that Elizabeth just plays the part of the nice person? I think they are all actresses in some way.

Well, that was not my intent. There IS a place for homosexuals in the Church, but they must understand that homosexual behavior is sin and not some birthright…

Now, as to the nature of my post: The position that I take here is not one against homosexuals. In point of fact, I have many homosexuals that I consider to be my friends. My objection has two parts:
  1. I object to the secular position that homosexuality is not sin…this is something that is evident in the view as they have employed a radical lesbian and given her a platform in which to voice the view that homosexuality should be accepted as not being a sin.
  2. I object to ANYONE who takes shots at the Church to promote their agenda.
