I am not under the Law of Moses, I am under the Law of Christ. Jesus was under the Law of Moses in order to fulfill the Law of Moses, and having fulfilled it, we who are Christ’s followers are now under the Law of Christ, which is Grace. St. Paul refers to this:

Dear Paarsurrey, Salam aleicum. How are you doing?

Ben: 😊
Hi

Wa leicum-us-salam my dear friend Ben Masada; I am fine and enjoying your good knowledge expressed in your posts here.

Jesus could assert himself for his claims and reasons; he needed no Paul/s, in my opinion; I love Jesus for his wisdom. Jesus feared nobody except GodAllahYHWH whose humble servant Jesus was, in my opinion.

Thanks

No, it doesn’t mean that. We believe in free will.
It means that no matter what I do, I can never reach God on my own. God has to first initiate, that is, invite me with His grace, and then I make my free will decision to either accept or reject the offer of God for my salvation. If I make it to heaven, it is because of the grace that God has poured out into my soul, to which I have freely accepted and cooperated with to the end of my natural life.

After Paul’s change of mind on the Road to Damascus when he decided to change his policy against the Nazarenes from persecuting them physically to joining them in order to fight them from within, he went to Damascus and stayed for three years disturbing the Nazarene Synagogues. Then, he went up to Jerusalem to try to join the Sect, but for two reasons the disciples rejected his application: First, because of his history of persecutor of Nazarenes. Second, because James, the chairman of the Sect in Jerusalem thought he was either lying or crazy because the disciples knew that Jesus had not gone to Damascus. But because of Barnabas, an old friend of Paul’s, put in a word for him at least on a trial basis, Paul was allowed Barnabas’ request but, within 15 days only preaching throughout Jerusalem that Jesus was the Messiah, son of God, and that he had resurrected, the local Jews were on an uproar to kill him because he was preaching heresy in Jerusalem of all places. Before he could have been killed, the Nazarenes got him down to Ceasarea, and from there they shipped him back to Tarsus where he belonged. However, Paul was carrying within him the germ of his decision to fight the Nazarenes from within. And unfortunately, the truth is that he succeeded.

Hi

What would our friend ronyodish say on the above post?

Ben Masada;:
This sounds to me it was Paul whom the chief priests confronted him with that question. Jesus was not teaching anything against the Law or different from what the chief priests did. And whoever
If you want to push the “Paul was the name used by Jesus after the Crucifixion” theory, then keep your time frame straight.

Ben Masada;:
According to Judaism, Jewishness is transmitted only through the mother.
Rabbinical Judaism is matrilinear. Both Samaritans and Kariate Judaism are patrilinear. The Torah is pretty clear that descent is paterilinear.

Say wha…?

Jesus loved His Father in Heaven.
He didn’t fear Him, nor did He have to.

When Lazarus was dead - Jesus pretty much said** ‘I want this - rise Lazarus.’**
’I’ meaning it was His power.

What’s the issue with Paul?
Paul hated Jesus **until **He was struck down by Him and made blind for three days. [After Jesus rose from the dead] and then Paul was filled with the Holy Spirit and he gained fortitude. Which is to say - along side the other gifts of the Holy Sprit - he was fearless in the face of all persecution.

It was because Jesus Himself hand picked Paul who was formerly known as Saul until Jesus changed his name -** that he became an Apostle.** And he endured much persecution [as penance i am sure for killing Christians] for Jesus’s ministry while he lived.
And some say he endured the stigmata [which means wounds of Christ] in his lifetime. And he travelled spreading the Gospel. And he was jailed, beaten, and eventually martyred for Jesus’s Church.

Did he quit during that length of time to say he was kidding or that he didnt really get struck down?
Did he stop in the face of such horrible pain and chastizement? No.

He was carried thru by inordinate measures - that is to say the Holy Spirit led him. He - who was to preach to the gentiles which the children of Abraham - the many Arabs were gentiles whom JESUS WANTED] - Paul gave up his whole life to obey the Spirit giving him the gifts he otherwise could not have done as a man.

He accepted the punishment.

And nothing did he teach was against what the Apostles believed.

Even Peter says [in the NT] that ppl wrest the scriptures and Epistles of Paul to their own desctruction.

IE - they dont understand them and they try to and then they believe them as they see fit which will lead to them to hell
because by twisting them and changing them - they lose the truth of what is taught.

And in the end - Peter who accompanied Paul to Rome lived there preaching with Paul for 5 years…til they both were killed for the cause of Christ.

And at that - i suggest you NOT wrest the Epistles of Paul - but that’s not my advice - it’s Peter’s.

And thru and ONLY thru Jesus did the bridge gap between brothers…of Abraham.
For neither had their own personal religion - but all were one in Christ - in His Body - in His Church living peacefully thru love surrending to Jesus’s teachings of love for and from both God and man.

Truly truly - if all were genuinely Christian - and all loved their neighbor as themself - we would be in utopia - which would indeed be Heaven on earth.

Truly - the prayer Jesus gave us would be true.

‘As it is in Heaven…’

In Heaven it is only love - the final reward. There is nothing in Heaven filled with revenge, hate, smugness, and all other human sinful emotions.

Christianity teaches love of God and man - and to accept martyrship at the cost of one’s life peacefully - and lovingly to the end.

Islam - teaches martyrship thru killing others.

Thou Shalt Not Kill. <~ God struck that in stone.
Who are we to disobey that?

Does the Church give any teaching with why Jesus never married? Was there a reason?

It’s pretty sufficient to know that the Church teaches Jesus is of the Trinity. Therefore God came to die for our sins - and no other way can we come to Him in Heaven, except thru HIS greatest act of love.

The Church also teaches that [as per the words of Jesus] the man and woman become one - Jesus is already One in the Trinity.

God wouldn’t come to earth to procreate with His creatures. [the depths of that idea makes me cringe] and it goes to a level of something i dont even want to go to.

Mankind might wish they could create a beautiful ‘object of amore’ but Jesus didnt and doesnt feel that way towards His creation. And there is a great relief in knowing this too BTW.

Men might think that it takes this sort of conjugal relationship in order to feel complete [which as i said the man becomes one with a woman = equal] and so therefore human sinners might need marriage - God does not.

And the scriptures never taught Jesus married. Mary of Magdelene was never once called Mary of Jesus - which is the proper form for a married woman in those days.

Keep in mind - she always maintained Mary of Magdelene - which is to say she remained single through out her whole adult life. She was ‘of’ the town - Magdelene - and not of a husband.

So this is WHY the Apostles never had to mention she remained single - the ‘of’ after her name already explained it sufficiently for their language.

Do you know something? I agree with you in all
counts. Indeed, according to Rabbinical Judaism Jewish descent
is matrilinear. But we are not talking about Jewish descent, but
Tribal descent. Tribal descendance is transmitted only through a
biological father; adoption not included. And Jewishness through the mother. Therefore, if Jesus was not a biological son of Joseph’s, he could never be traced through the Tribe of Judah. But
I think this subject pertains to the “Pauline Paradox” thread. I posted it in Catholic Apologetics.

I didn’t get it! Indeed, I have no idea what you are
talking about. Jesus had never heard of such a person during his whole life.

Ben:

Yes I know, but I want to hear Bens answer to my question. But as you see he keeps avoiding it. I knew he would. Who knows maybe he will answer it sooner or later but I doubt it. Time will tell. But thanks for responding.
Rinnie, what else do you need from me? All that you need to know is in my thread “My Views about Jesus.” If you have any more questions after you read it, then and only then, you can let me know. I’ll be happy to enlighten you further. Every time I read this post of yours, I am reminded of the Canaanite mother crying after me for more crumbles.

Ben:

Realy! Gosh! Christianity must have a weird way
to love God and man. How about the thousands of Jewish heads
beheaded by the Christian swords of the Crusades? How about the thousands of Jewish bodies burned alive by the Christian Autos-da-Fe of the Inquisition? God spare me from such a love!

Ben:
Read my signature - ok. 🙂

Why do i have that?
Because i follow the Pope.

So where am i going with that?

The Pope told the crusaders not to kill any Jew.
Those who did so betrayed the Pope.
And the loss was incurred by the Judas’ of the Church - and NOT thru the Pope.

Now I do not claim to be a historian, but If I remember my History correctly the crusades were fought against the Muslims. I could be wrong but don’t think I am. AS to the Inquisition only those that had professed a conversion to Christianity would have been brought before the Inquisitor. I do realize that those that did not convert were made to suffer as they could not work or had to leave Spain. I also remember His Holiness JohnPaul the great making a Public apology for this and begging for the forgiveness of God and the Jewish people for it.

Also Ben you have yet to answer how Jesus was married to Mary Magdalene when they did not even meet till after the Wedding at Canna?

I do believe that your hatred of ST Paul comes from what you see as his turning from fighting against the Apostles to Joining them.

and just my observation here But you sound like no Jew I have ever met you sound more like a Muslim. I have notice that you spell out God were every thing I have ever read from Jewish people alway spell it G d? 🤷

Again Ben Quote: Liars are those who claim that Jesus was what he never claimed to be. unquote.

Now how much more simple could my question be? Those are your words Ben.

Now again for the fifth or sixth time. WHO DO YOU SAY THAT JESUS CLAIMED TO BE?

I cannot see how that is such a hard question for you.

Ben cannot answer that question because he is caught telling something again that is untrue about our Lord. But everyone has a right to defend himself so Ben answer the question. Another one how can this be? How can Jesus be married to someone when he had not even met them yet? 🍿

The Crusaders were not unprovoked aggressors, greedy marauders or medieval colonialists, as portrayed in some history books.

BUT if you want the truth of the Crusades, click this link.

Basically myth usually controverts via genuine truth.
Myth 5: The Crusades were also waged against the Jews.
No pope ever called a Crusade against Jews. During the First Crusade a large band of riffraff, **not **associated with the main army, descended on the towns of the Rhineland and decided to rob and kill the Jews they found there. In part this was pure greed. In part it also stemmed from the incorrect belief that the Jews, as the crucifiers of Christ, were legitimate targets of the war.
Pope Urban II and subsequent popes strongly condemned these attacks on Jews. Local bishops and other clergy and laity attempted to defend the Jews, although with limited success. Similarly, during the opening phase of the Second Crusade a group of renegades killed many Jews in Germany before St. Bernard was able to catch up to them and put a stop to it.
These misfires of the movement were an unfortunate byproduct of Crusade enthusiasm,

Trust me Ben I would rather starve to death. Everytime I read your Post It reminds me of what Jesus said to the Jews. Let me quote it for you:

Quote If God were your Father you would love me simce I have my origin in God and have come from him. I did not come on my own accord but he sent me. Why do you not understand what I say. Because you are from your father, the devil and you prefer to do what your father wants. He was a murderer from the start he was never grounded in the truth; there is no truth in him at all. When he lied he is speaking true to his nature because he is a liar and the father of lies. But it is because I speak the truth that you do no believe me. Can any of you convict me of sin? If I speak the truth why do you not believe me? WHO EVER COMES FROM GOD LISTENS TO THE WORDS OF GOD. THE REASON WHY YOU DO NOT LISTEN IS THAT YOU ARE NOT FROM GOD. unquote.

If you really did believe in Abraham and the God of Abraham then you would accept the truth. Jesus summed it up for you.
