Hi

What authority could the deserting and fleeing disciples have from Jesus? They were doing a think which Jesus had not preferred himself; which he could have done to start with, if he had wanted. It was a mistake of the deserting disciples, in my opinion. or Did they want to find fault with Jesus? Did they want to make amends for the mistake done by Jesus?

In my opinion, it was a mistake of the disciples to convene a meeting in the absence of Jesus. Jesus had gone to India with Mary and other faithful followers.

I love Jesus and Mary as mentioned in Quan.

Thanks
Jesus gave them full authority before He ascended to His Father as He said He was and He will come back as the Angels said He would. Your opinion is based on a lie and has no weight Jesus left Peter in charge. Jesus did not desert His Church as you seem to claim. He sent the Holy Spirit to be with us always.

And, He also left His Real Presence in the Blessed Sacrament, hence keeping His promise “Lo, I shall be with you always, even unto the end of the world.”

Hi

Just to bring everybody on the topic; ie Jesus had wife/ves and children :

**Second Coming **1835-1908 says:

Jesus, however, wisely adopted the route through Afghanistan, so that the lost tribes of Israel, known as Afghans, might profit from him. The eastern frontier of Kashmir touches Tibet. From Kashmir he could easily go to Tibet. Having come to the Punjab, he had no difficulty in wandering through the important places of Hindustan before going to Kashmir or Tibet.

It is, therefore, quite possible, as some old historical records of this country show, that Jesus may have seen Nepal, Benares, and other places. He then must have gone to Kashmir through Jammu or Rawalpindi. As he belonged to a cold country, it is certain that he stayed in these territories only through the winter, and, by the end of March or the beginning of April, must have started for Kashmir.

As Kashmir resembles Sham [Syria and its surrounding country] he must have taken up permanent residence in this land. It is possible, moreover, that he may have stayed for some time in Afghanistan and it is not impossible that he may have married in that country. **One of the tribes of Afghans is known as ‘Isa Khel’ – it would not be surprising if they are descendants of Jesus. **

alislam.org/library/books/jesus-in-india/ch4.html

There is evey likelihood of Jesus marrying in Afghans; as they were from the House of Israel, as Jesus was also, in my opinion.

I love Jesus and Mary as mentioned in Quran.

Thanks

1 Tim 6:4-5

…he is conceited and understands nothing. He has an unhealthy interest in controversies and quarrels about words that result in envy, strife, malicious talk, evil suspicions 5and constant friction between men of corrupt mind, who have been robbed of the truth…

Our Lord, Jesus Christ, did start a Church here on Earth: Gospel According to St. Matthew 16:18 And I say to thee: That thou art Peter; and upon this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
Jesus never started a church. What he started was called the Sect of the Nazarenes, a Jewish sect, which never had anything to do with Christianity. That dialogue with Peter was a much later interpolation by the Church with the purpose to document Christianity.
And Our Lord, Jesus Christ doesn’t have a grace to roll in. He Ascended into Heaven and sits at the right hand of God, the Father Almighty.
You must be talking about the Christ of Paul, because the real Jesus of Nazareth, at the end of his life, went the way of all flesh and rests in the grave. This that he resurrected and ascended into Heaven was made up by Paul about 30 years after Jesus was gone. That’s what I have come to
understand from the NT and haven’t found anyone to persuade me of the contrary. Since my views are not hewned in stone, I can change my mind if what you have to say makes sense to me.

Ben: 🙂 🙂

Just because Matthew did not mention the fact that John was at the crucifixion that doesn’t mean that the beloved Apostle was not there. John was there. He was the beloved disciple to whom Jesus entrusted His Mother.
Benedictgal, give Reason a chance and understand that Jesus, for being an observant Jew and not a Christian, it would be highly improper to entrust his mother into the care of a male disciple, and vice-versa, that disciple into the care of his mother.

John was not there; and even if he had been, the two Mary’s were there at the foot of the cross and Jesus entrusted them to each other. This is one more evidence that Jesus’ beloved disciple was Mary Magdalene and not John. You even throw mud at Jesus’ reputation by insisting on this nonsense. Have mercy for Heaven’s
sake, and be reasonable for once in your life!

Ben:

I agree with you.

Thanks

Hi

I agree with you.

If John would have been there, Matthew must have mentioned uless our Catholics friends would accede that there was some jealousy or animosity between the two.

Thanks

It is you who post nonsense. A woman depended on her male relatives. Improper? It is just you saying that it would be. Base it on some fact that we can verify not your opinion. You state there is more evidence but that is all the evidence you provide just postings without backing. Do you know the definition of reasonable? I wonder because you don’t produce any evidence of it.

Paarsurrey, you are getting mixed up. It is Mohammad who followed in the footsteps of King David and fought wars, ruled his people and married many women. Ben, the Jew from Israel would be the best to comment on the difference between King David and Mohammad.
Ben, could you please explain the difference between the life of King David and Mohammad?

In the NT, King David is known as a man after God’s own heart.

This just gets better and better - so Jesus referred His mother to Mary Madgalene and said about her ‘Woman, behold your SON’???

And there would be no point whatsoever to the Gospel writers fudging that bit - as Christians we would be perfectly happy, and understand the episode in exactly the same way, if Jesus gave her into Mary Magdalene’s care to look after. 🤷

Talking about reasonable - it is far more reasonable to believe that the earliest Christian Fathers, including Paul as well, all being writers who were taught by and familiar with those very first disciples, including John himself, and who passed on exactly the understanding of the Wedding at Cana and John’s presence at the Crucifixion that we have today, had it right than that they had it wrong. 🤷

It would have been incredibly easy, John still being alive decades after Paul, and, if I remember rightly, his gospel the last written, for him to SAY ‘no, I was not there, it is NOT me the other Gospels are referring to, in fact it is not myself that I am referring to’. He would have been well aware of the other Gospels, and HIS disciples Ignatius and Polycarp are well known to us. They would’ve preserved such a startling nugget of information as that.

Hi

I think you ar right. Jesus escaped death from the Cross and when recovered from the injuries of the Cross; he went with Mary and other loyal friends to spread the gospel among the lost 10 tribes of Israel settled in India and the neighboring countries.

He must have also married in Afghans and Kashmiries; as is allowed in the Jews to marry more than one wives.

Jesus died peacefully and respectfully a natural death among his own Jewish people and is buried in Mohallah Khanyar, Sirinagar, India.

I love Jesus and Mary

Thanks

Matthew wasn’t an eyewitness, John was. Matthew doesn’t mention Jesus’ mother either. The absence of being mentioned is not proof that they were not there. That John says they were is.

The Romans were experts and knew what they were doing. Can you produce anyone other than Jesus who escaped the cross by fooling the soldiers that they were dead. Crucifixion was fatal.

PaarSurrey, all this stuff and nonsense about Jesus buried in Kashmir, where did you read it? You never mention your sources. When and by whom was the fiction written? It is fiction conveniently invented to suit the Jesus as mentioned in the Quran, although the Quran does NOT say anything about the many wives of Jesus or his trip to Kashmir. So where did you read this fiction? And who invented it? Hindus have another version of the same fiction, that Jesus went to Kashmir between the ages of 12 and 30, because the NT does not mention anything about His life. (Jesus lived an ordinary life and everybody knew Him as the carpenter Joseph’s son when He started preaching at age 30. Ever heard of villagers in Israel not knowing about someone from their village making a long trip to an exotic and far away land like India?) They just fill that gap with a fiction of their own and try to “prove” that Jesus could have acquired His wisdom only from India and Jesus studied at the feet of Hindu gurus to become a spiritually enlightened man. There must be other fictions of similar variety out there too because silence gives people the opportunity to fill with their own wild imagination to suit their own agendas.

Hi

Our friend **Ben Masada ** has stated that he wants to own Jesus the Jewish way. I wonder why should our Catholic friends not allow him to own Jesus. Let him, please, love Jesus his own way; nobody has any hegemony over Jesus. I think a Jew has more of a right to own a Jew ie Jesus, than others.

I love Jesus and Mary

Thanks

Thanks for showing the fallacious opinion on what Jesus would have said according to some man 600 years later who never met Him.

Apparently Muhammad changed what Jesus said. After all - HE NEVER MET HIM.

But this is not much different than all the other gnostic tales about Him.

Paul didn’t create Christianity - who makes these things up? Seriously?
Two items just for your information: First, Paul never saw Jesus. And second, read Acts 11:26. It was with Paul that Christianity started about 30 yers after Jesus had been gone. Your own Bible says, that it was with Paul that his followers started being called Christians. Why? Because Paul would preach
that Jesus was Christ. Now, you can see, if faith allows you to, when the idea that Jesus was the Messiah originated, and who was responsible for it.

Ben: 🙂

Hi

I think Ben Masada has raised some valid issues; which our Catholic friends need to answer reasonably and logically with sound arguments from history; not their own mytholigical tradition, in my opinion. Peace

i love Jesus and Mary

Thanks
