A question to those who have seen “Zeitgeist: Addendum”,

Do you know how many people think this rubbish is true?

The BANKS the FEDERAL GOVERMENT the MILLITARY and the ENERGY COMPANIES will enslave the world?

The GREED of the GOVERMENT and the CHURCHES that shove LIES down people’s throats and BRAINWASH them into sumbission?

And all the people on internet forums talking about a “Coming Revolution”

I’m terrified.

If the masses see this (and the preceeding Zeitgeist) film, then there will be concequences. People rising up in the name of “freethought” and “reason”

Riots
Violence
Uprisings in the cities

A SECOND CIVIL WAR perhaps?

God help us

(That is, if God isn’t just another solar deity of the Persians and Jesus isn’t just another re-creation of Horus)
 
There have always been conspiracy theorists. I suspect we will always have conspiracy theorists.

I wouldn’t worry about “a coming revolution”. Conspiracy theorists are too paranoid to cooperate in anything that large.
 
I am not paranoid or anything but there are larger forces at play, that is for sure.

In these trepid times, I suggest a few things to everyone, in this order.
  1. Buy a gun. You have the 2nd amendment, use it. With it, you are a citizen, not a subject.
  2. Buy gold and silver. The dollar is worthless and gold is a safe haven. Silver, if you can get it, is freaking cheap right now.
  3. Buy a Bible.
  4. Pray.
That’s all the advice I have got. Any other suggestions?
 
just stay conservative and Roman Catholic… don’t let them lie to you… they’ll come try to convince you Jesus Christ was created rather than begotten, and they’ll try to convince you he is not equal to the Father… they’ll say Jesus is not God…

and as far as I’m concerned all non-Catholics are conspiracy theorists

zeitgiest can be debunked with simple wikipedia searches, btw.

Use YOUR RIGHT to purchase a gun.

If you need to use the gun, then use it as one should and not as one shouldn’t use it.

don’t expect me to man the barricades for the revolution with my trap guns. frankly, anyone arming themselves except for home defense or sporting purposes has got a screw loose.

“Trap guns”?

What might that mean? 🙂

I actually think it MUCH more likely that the middle-class “family-oriented” folk will be the “revolutionaries” than the riled-up left.

The left would be slaughtered in three days by these “family-folk”, which is why the left is looking to control the arms, money, laws, and human-assets (army and civil-service) of human society, as “protection” for their elites.

Revolutions are ALWAYS bad, but if the left pushes the family-folk too far, they will resort to revolution.
 
The sentence read “You have the 2nd amendment, use it.” I guess I should have clarified the meaning of “it” in this sentence and the next. In this sentence, I was referring to the 2nd amendment. In the next sentence, I was referring to the gun itself.

Shotguns are ample for home defense and are the most versatile working guns out there. You can shoot blackpowder or smokeless and are devastating anywhere from 0 to 100yds with the right load, choke and barrel length (birdshot, buckshot or slugs). In a way, a good trap gun isn’t a bad solution, that is what most of our ancestors used to feed and defend hearth and home, particularly side-by-side (SxS) shotguns. The over-under (O/U) shotguns are a little bit more delicate and the ultimate knockabout is the Big 5 Mossberg 500 special with the 18.5" and 28" barrel for 249.95.

To CatsAndDogs, you are correct in your statement of proper usage and it was well put and eloquent. As I always say, “It is better to have and not need than to need and not have.” There is much evil in the world and a couple ounces of steel prevents much of it from harming you.

For those of you that picked up the meaning of my forum handle (it refers to trap shooting) then kudos to you.

In case you couldn’t all guess, I am a gun enthusiast. I post on multiple gun forums (mostly calguns.net) with the same handle name of pullnshoot25.

How about personal protection with a CCW? I am campaigning for that by open carrying out here in California, as we have really unfair issuance laws.

Also, the Constitution talks about maintaining a free state… you can’t remain free unless you have the means to be free. Look at Switzerland.
 
I was shown Zeitgeist a while a go. I find it to have much of a comeidic (sp?) value. Anyone that has any sense, does not believe His statements as full facts, most people are awake that it is all conspiracy theories. Those that do believe it to be fact probably believe everything they hear anyway.
 
As Catholics and Christians, I think we should always face the future with hope, and try our best to live joyfully.

Do what is reasonable, but understand that God is in control and can be trusted to do what is best.

'Scuse me while I polish up my .45, my .357, my .22 target pistol, DH’s rifle, and get the firing pin fixed on DH’s shotgun. Oh, I better get some more ammo while I’m at it.

I’m a compassionate person, and I want and hope to never have to shoot a human being. But I will if I have to.

Most of the people that i’ve met that took it seriously are pacifist and believe anything anybody tells them. I honestly think it’s just a fad because anybody who truly believes in that rubbish will do research on the topics and see that the movie is incorrect and wrong.
 
There is paranoia on all fronts - I’ve seen many a post on this very forum that insinuated that the federal government together with radical leftists was out to take over and destroy Christianity in this country. Godless schools, rampant divorce, birth control, the gay agenda, etc… It’s all a vast left wing conspiracy to eliminate God and create a heathen nation. And, yes, I heard it here. Again, paranoia and conspiracy theorists are a type of person to be found in all philosophical circles. :eek:
