The Native man got in the boy’s face. Please don’t take the mainstream media as gospel. Videos clearly show the native man and his associates approaching the boys, NOT the other way around.
I’ve watched several different videos, taken by different people, and not one supports your claim.

Also, and no one would probably care anyway, but many native songs are religious. That would be pagan of course. I’d not want a man chanting pagan songs in my face.
Simple soution to that - don’t go up and stand right in front of him.

Here:

Go to the 9th video/picture and wait till 35 seconds in. Absolutely undeniable proof that the group of natives entered into the crowd of boys beating their drum and chanting

That doesn’t seem to be what happened. He walked up and got in their face. The kids were just standing there.

Yep, just more fake news. The news wants to paint a bunch of White kids as evil racists.

Are you saying that they were provoked and then responded as the people that they really are?

Before the natives got in their face, the boys were chanting school slogans and just messing around. The atmosphere was festive. Then, some guy beating a drum and chanting enters this group of already jovial boys. You can see they are kind of confused yet amused and some join in this strange spectacle, which the boys most likely weren’t expecting.

The videos clearly show the native american man approaching the boys. They were off doing their own thing and all of a sudden a group of people banging drums and chanting enter into the group of boys and for whatever reason target one of them (the smirking one).
That is a very imaginative interpretation. The native drummer was moving while playing, which is apparently part of how that particular piece was to be “performed.” I see no evidence that he saw the boys from afar and came into their midst. The space they were sharing is public space. The boys cannot stake a claim on a portion of it and say “this part is ours and anyone entering this space is being deliberately provocative.” The boys were clearly mocking him. He was just doing his thing according to his culture.

Oh I see let’s play the history card and use it against some innocent kids having fun at a rally.

There’s a longer video of the incident, which I watched some of. It’s like an hour long so I didn’t watch all of it.

What likely happened based on what I have watched:

Kids are grouping up to get on the bus, bus hasn’t come yet, no adults in sight.

There’s a person of color with a microphone/ loudspeaker/ megaphone whatever nearby yelling various stuff dealing with race. If you spend any time in DC or go on any marches there, including March for Life, you take this as part of the landscape as there is always somebody demonstrating; what they are saying may or may not make any sense, you just ignore it and move on. It’s been reported that the people demonstrating were “Black Israelites” or “Black Hebrews”. Some of the stuff they said was about race and probably designed to get a rise out of the white boys. The kids rose to the bait and responded in kind.

Kids eventually started to do their school songs or cheers which may have involved Maori type poses or chants of Build the Wall or whatever. As things escalated, the Native American guy and his crew, who were doing their own march, came over, trying to get in the middle between the kids and whoever they were yelling at, and then felt threatened or whatever, and the cameras came out.

Bottom line is
  • the kids should not have been left unsupervised by adults and/or if there was an adult within earshot they should have taken control of the situation and told the kids to knock it off, shut up, quiet down before it reached this point
  • furthermore if you are going to take a busload of kids representing your school to DC they need to be told they are going to encounter a lot of people expressing their free speech, whom they may or may not agree with, and you don’t start yelling back at them, mocking them, or getting into any sort of an interaction with them, especially nowadays when people will film you and toss it on the web at a moment’s notice.
I’m sure the kids will all be like “Oh they started it” but honestly nobody cares. School groups need to be respectful in DC, regardless of what is coming at them. There are too many people ready, willing and eager to capitalize on any scrap of bad behavior.

Not at all. They didn’t do anything wrong. They didn’t do anything at all. They mostly just stood around.

Actually this video shows a Black man was harassing them before any of this happened. N.B. some bad language.

I see no evidence that he saw the boys from afar and came into their midst.
Watch the video link I posted and you’ll see he does move into their space.
No, not evil racists. Just spoiled brats. No racism is needed to act like a spoiled brat.
Are you saying the kids acted like spoiled brats? I still don’t know exactly what it is people are claiming the did was wrong. Want did they do wrong and how did they act like spoiled brats?

You saw basically what I saw. The native man came up in their space. And then he felt threatened? Is that what the outrage is over? I still don’t know what the kids did that was supposedly wrong.

The smirking kid deliberately blocked him. Even Fox “News” got this one right.
But I guess since he’s Native American, that’s OK.

Blocked him from what? Getting further in his face?

Also, the article says:
He said he was singing the American Indian Movement song of unity that serves as a ceremony to send the spirits home.
So as I suspected he was chanting a pagan song in the face of Catholic kids. That is aggressive and insensitive.

As I said, nobody owns space there.

Mocking another human being and his chanting.
