And you haven’t done likewise. If you really think the contexts support what you are saying, I would really like to see it.

I’ve heard ad nauseaum the audio of Trumps comments and he clearly made the distinction re the fine people on both sides.He preceded this comment by denouncing the rabble rousers.I have nothing more to add the facts speak for themselves.

So in other words, you don’t want to engage with the facts at hand? That’s disappointing. I’m really trying to wrap my head around the angle you’re coming from. It’s one thing to form an opinion on the matter. It’s another to have the intellectual courage to actually examine your beliefs critically.

See, the author of the video essay breaks down exactly what happened, day by day, shows what the media outlets actually said, and what Trump actually said. The author lays out their logic and reasoning in, a way, that I think is very calm and in-depth. If you see a flaw in the reasoning it’s very easy to point to.

It’s very clear the media didn’t inaccurately report on what Trump said. It’s also very clear that the criticism Trump received isn’t for the reasons PragerU claimed. And it’s also very clear that Trump spoke about the neo-nazi planners and groups that were present the day before the murder. See, the distinction he tried to draw is false. He said so himself when he pointed to the people ‘the night before’.

Which is an argument I can make against any candidate you support. Ergo, it isn’t an argument.

Yes, he did say that. And bully for him.

But he said it 2 days (on the 14th) AFTER the murder of a protester by a neo-nazi. And 1 day after refusing to condemn the KKK, racism, and white supremacy. After which his own party started clapping back.

So he gave this speech, which good, it’s a good speech. But it was 2 days late, and, his arm was twisted into it.

But then on the 15th, he gave and interview. And behold the script.

Those people the night before that Trump looked at were the neo-nazi organizers of the event, the torch carriers shouting ‘Jews will not replace us’ and ‘blood and soil’, and such. He back-peddled. Lied about the attendees or was mistaken (and the lied about that), and continued to draw a moral equivalence between neo-nazis and those that protested neo-nazis. I would be happy to share an analysis of the rally but it goes through the evidence (and a lot of video taken by rally-goers themselves) and it’s about 50+ minutes long.

That is why in todays world, do not apologize or say anything. If you say something, you did not mean it, and if you do not, you support it. Take all the apologies in recent times. No one really takes them.

The president has continually spoken against racism when it is needed. What does the media do? Racism, racism, racism. People are being brainwashed.

Look the president is rude. But the racist rhetoric from the media divides this country. Now people are actually calling for the elimination of Trump supporters, and even movies are being made. Is that NOT brainwashing?

Edit: Look I have paid attention to MSNBC and all they post is that President Trump is a white nationalist. Chris Mathews says that Trump has made the GOP in to the White Supremacy party.

My question: What do you think happens next? Do people have conversations? Nope, they fight, there is no talking to a white supremacist. You take them out, you eradicate them, like many on the left have said. What do you think will happen next? Peaceful protest? Nope. Tensions are really hight, there will be a proud boys thing in August in Portland, and Antifa is also heading that way. I fear that police may not be able to stop it, if sparks fly.

I agree with neither of them, but the tension is brewing, and it has nothing to do with President Trump and more to do with the media pushing the narrative.

Bill Maher wants a recession to take President Trump out. What? Listen to the Democrat Leaders. Beto: Jesus Christ of course he is a Racist.

The rhetoric is insane from the Democrats.

If I didn’t mention it, one can read Jennifer’s twitter. Big problems with the war in Iraq; but she seems to idolize Bush, many big Bush supporters are not going to like a non-interventionist like Trump.

He actually didn’t say this about them, but even if he had, he said both sides, as in, BLM and Antifa. If that is the case, he was wrong on all counts. There is no good in the KKK, BLM, Neo-Nazis, or Antifa.

Were you there in Charlottesville at the protest?

The reason I ask is this: many years ago there was a riot vaguely near where my brother lived. My brother is a photographer and when I said it looked like the whole city was going up in flames, he told me it was more like one block, and the various photos and videographers were using lots of different angles so it looked like lots of different places.

What we saw on the news was the most exciting part. The news channels were not going to show peaceful protesters if there were “more newsworthy” types around. And if there were only a few of them, the various bureaus would have gotten pics from all different angles so it would look like a huge crowd.

I imagine the President has access to more news photos than we do.
 
I just don’t necessarily subscribe to the idea that more gun regulations will reduce the death toll. Evildoers will always find a way. If they don’t have a gun, they’ll use a knife, a vehicle, a bomb. In Oklahoma City, 168 people died, without using firearms.

On the surface, stricter background checks and red flag laws sound plausible. However, like we have seen with Obama’s IRS (targeting Tea Party members), Obama’s FBI, etc., information in the wrong hands can easily be used against innocent people.

Since Roe v. Wade, we have become a nation where life has become less sacred. Since prayer and spirituality was taken out of schools, and often mocked by academia and media, we have become more self-centered. Since the introduction of cell phones, the Internet, and video games, we have grown more and more isolated. Many, who have difficulty socializing, have retreated into their own, often dark and gloomy, world. When they feel they have lost hope, and/or they decide to place extreme blame for their situation on others, they lash out.

I don’t think there’s one, all-encompassing solution, but our country desperately needs a spiritual reawakening.

The rally was documented by the people there, in real time, with video. The video was shared around alt-right discord servers and other communication methods. I invite you to watch the following, see the rally as it was unfolding, and, the analysis provided. I warn you though, the rally-attendees are foul-mouthed, crude, shockingly bigoted. And the video essayist sometimes indulges in adult language also.

I trust the evidence over what the President claims, as the President is a documented liar.

I watched part of it. Very tight shots which exclude areas other than what is directly in front of the camera (that’s the kind of thing that makes me suspicious), and still there is the choice of what to put in and what to leave out.

I am in no way denying that that type of person was there. I’m just saying that they may not have been the only ones there.

Oddly, in the parts I watched, I did not see any Antifa people, altho I have heard they were there also.
 
I know the video is a slog and it’s difficult to watch this sort of bigotry, and, analysis contrary to your opinion.

Suffice it to say, the author uses video from multiple sources, that often depicts the same event. Coupled with police reports and the police investigation. Remember, a murder was done at this event. It’s been entirely investigated and documented. And the author’s evidence is corroborated multiple times.

Regardless of the rest of that, it clearly shows that the people there the ‘day before’ as Trump said WERE the neo-nazis and organizers, who were are demonstrated neo-nazis. I should hope that the alleged ‘people there who weren’t neo-nazis’ wouldn’t be marching with a crowd shouting blood and soil and Jews will not replace us. But that’s what happened the night before.
