Third Prayer Intention for po18guy

Thank you and blessings to each and every one of you. I am enjoying a week away from treatment, as my schedule has now changed. Instead of three weekly treatments followed by a week’s rest, I now have one treatment followed by a week of rest. So, only two treatments per month rather than three. This is a blessing, since it will allow me to avoid some of the side effects of the drug. I am working more hours and may get back to a 40 hour week before long. As always, each breath that I draw is a gift from our Lord. And so I must thank Him through the day. I thank Him for each of you, as well, since you have called His favor down. This has been a mighty blessing. I must strive toward the courage to face that which lies ahead, and if the Lord spares me, I must then thank Him all the more!

Christ’s peace be with and remain with all of you. Amen.
 
Loving God,

We lift up in prayer today our friend Jim who continues to carry the Cross with your son Jesus. We thank you for helping him to maintain strong faith, hope, and courage in the promise of your divine providence. We ask for your continued blessings and strength for Jim, and for comfort and consolation from your Holy Spirit for his family who loves him so much. Please bless all these dear people and hear the persistent prayers of your people for Jim in accordance with your Holy and perfect will.

We pray in the name of your beloved son Jesus, the Good Shepherd of your people.

We seek thy merciful aid, St. Peregrine, especially for those afflicted or threatened by cancer, by any ailment of the foot, or by any incurable diseases. Please help us quickly to find a cure for cancer, and a remedy for all our human infirmities of soul, mind, and body. Amen.

Sacred Heart of Jesus, we know that there is but one thing impossible to You: to be without pity for those who are in suffering or distress. Look down on us, we beg of You and grant us the grace which we humbly and earnestly implore, through the Immaculate Heart of Your most sorrowful Mother to whom You confided us as her children, and whose prayers are all powerful with You. Amen.

Once again, your prayers have been heard. Although I often do not feel all that well immediately after treatment, I still possess the gift of life through the constant intercession of my brothers and sisters in Christ. For that I will be eternally grateful. My visit with the physician’s assistant today was brief and no issues came up. The recent scans revealed no problems. When I remember, I thank for Lord for each breath, as not one of them is guaranteed me. As well, I continue breathing as the result of the prayers of those who love Christ. May Lenten peace and spiritual growth be with each of you. Amen.
