Actually, funny statistic, atheists actually have the lowest divorce rate. Go figure? Our parish priest constantly talks about the evils associated with contraception. And like the rest of the Orthodox, our divorce rate is the lowest of any group in Divorce Land USA.
We only have one chief … Jesus of course. I sometimes wonder if God is laughing at our quibbling? I know I sure am …You know what they say about too many chiefs.
According to the SUNY study, the Orthodox did.Actually, funny statistic, atheists actually have the lowest divorce rate. Go figure?
Fortunately the chiefs of Reformed Christianity are too busy arguing supralapsarianism, Federal Vision, and whether Reformed Baptists are really Reformed to give us Lutheran Indians any need to take over Geneva any time soon. You know what they say about too many chiefs.
I think what he means is that there are many Protestant claimants to the “true” Church–in effect, little Popes who want their own definition of what their denomination believes in.We only have one chief … Jesus of course. I sometimes wonder if God is laughing at our quibbling? I know I sure am …
I think from now on every time I hear of an Orthodox converting to Catholicism I’ll quip, “they probably just didn’t have the willpower to keep up with the fasting regimen.”If you become Orthodox it’s because you want to divorce or use contraception or my favorite, you “hate” Catholicism.
Either that or they just never acquired the intellectual acumen necessary for a taste for dolmathes.I think from now on every time I hear of an Orthodox converting to Catholicism I’ll quip, “they probably just didn’t have the willpower to keep up with the fasting regimen.”

I don’t think she’ll find much difference since she’s Melkite, Eastern Catholic, and theologically Eastern Catholics are very much Orthodox than Latin.whatever! i hope Christy will come back and share with us once she become orthodox and give us her opinion.
hope you find what you think you will be finding or what you are looking for!
There’s a few protestant churches like that, but that hardly represents normal – reformed protestantism. It’s the back woods preacher types trying to tell his flock why God wants him to have their underage daughters. Believe me, you’re better off without those types (we’ve been trying to hock them off for years, maybe Islam will take them).I think what he means is that there are many Protestant claimants to the “true” Church–in effect, little Popes who want their own definition of what their denomination believes in.
You can start here: goarch.org/ And for the official site of the Ecumenical Patriarchate: ec-patr.org/default.php?lang=en Hope they’ll help.is there a website for the orthodox churches? where you can learn more about them? what do they think of peter and why do they not accept him? who was peter to the orthodox?
Why don’t we accept Peter? That’s a silly question. Why don’t you “accept” the other 11 Apostles?is there a website for the orthodox churches? where you can learn more about them? what do they think of peter and why do they not accept him? who was peter to the orthodox?
Pretty websites. Apparently our Lutheran Synods here in the U.S. need to hire Orthodox web designers. You can start here: goarch.org/ And for the official site of the Ecumenical Patriarchate: ec-patr.org/default.php?lang=en Hope they’ll help.
Would you WANT Geneva? I honestly didn’t think much of it while there. Reminds me of the antiseptic feel of a hospital.Fortunately the chiefs of Reformed Christianity are too busy arguing supralapsarianism, Federal Vision, and whether Reformed Baptists are really Reformed to give us Lutheran Indians any need to take over Geneva any time soon.
Like most Presbyterian churches I’ve been in.Would you WANT Geneva? I honestly didn’t think much of it while there. Reminds me of the antiseptic feel of a hospital.![]()
