I’m not using them as a role models to be a priest, but I’m using the ideas of St. Ignatius Loyola and St. Tomas Aquinas to live my day-to-day life. If I were to become a priest, which I am not, I’d use them as examples. Sadly, I don’t have anyone (physically) to guide me anymore. BTW, it’s the end of April… better say a wish. What Saint helps you guys with discernment?
Mine’s not a saint yet. Pope John Paul II. We have alot of similarities. For one I am on a Musical Theater Competion Team (anyone hear of the Center Stage Stars?), and I like soccer, and I have two Jewish friends at my school who are often teased with phrases such as “Jesus already came doofus!”![]()
It makes me mad that Christians would say such things and angry when I ask them to stop and they don’t. Anyway, back on subject. He’s my role model for becoming a priest.
Pope John Paul the Great remains the model priest in death as he was in life I can only hope many men around the world will follow his example and “Be not Afraid”What Saint helps you guys with discernment?

CONGRATS!!!Well I was accepted and I am applying soon. Looks like I’ll be sent to Pontifical College in Columbus Ohio. Wherever God wants me I will go. I am 18 years old and currently live in New Mexico… I’m having a hard time since I am leaving my family down here. They are having some problems and it’s going to be hard leaving them since we are so close.![]()
There is a tremendous irony that just struck me. If I continue on the path I’m on now and go into the Chicago college seminary, I’ll be in a Jesuit college! I shudder at the thought…As long as it doesn’t involve Jesuits!![]()
HAHA! I got it lucky! The seminary collage around here is run by Benidictians. There is a tremendous irony that just struck me. If I continue on the path I’m on now and go into the Chicago college seminary, I’ll be in a Jesuit college! I shudder at the thought…![]()

It’s my only hope!
LOL. Yes, strange bedfellows, indeed. There is a tremendous irony that just struck me. If I continue on the path I’m on now and go into the Chicago college seminary, I’ll be in a Jesuit college! I shudder at the thought…![]()

Is that still going on?
That’s not really what I meant.oh yea…i forgot about that! so what’s happenin’ in the future Jesuit love-life??? :ehh:

I was just wondering if they were still both discerning their vocations together.
While I’m not a huge fan of dating during discernment, I don’t oppose it.
