OH my GOODNESS arent cats a frekn HANDFULL?? I had nooo idea!! Mine is total high maintenance…lol…and I thought I was bad 😊
My cats want attention all the time when I’m home because I’m usually gone. I live in Seattle, I’m not going to sit at home. 😃 So then they get me when I’m trying to sleep.

Me: zzzz
Fat Cat: MEOW!!!
Little Cat: Scratch. Hiss attacks foot
Me: %^&#@!

😃

I guess, I’ve just never had a hard time meeting men so its never been an issue. Not to sound conceited or anything, but MEETING men isnt the issue, its meeting GOOD men. At least, for me…

But really, I am holding out for Mr. Perfect for Charlotte~
I can relate. I have no trouble meeting women, its just finding good women that seems to be quite challenging.
Hey!! I’m 28 too girl!! ^5 for all the under 30 ladies!!
I’ll be 28 in less than two months.

So whenever I get feelin’ down and out- I’ll send my daughter off for the day on some playdate or something, open up the house, bump some R&B on the radio…and take like, 3 hours getting ready (like how I used to back in high school)…full face of make up…flat iron the hair…

LOL I might just go to the store and buy a new shirt but at least I feel and LOOK stunning! 🙂 That always puts my mind right…I mean, on a day to day basis, I’m not wearing any make up, and I’m really naturally pretty- but every so often its nice to go out and make em’ stop dead in their tracks (yeaaaaah I still got it!) 😉
I can relate. From time to time I’ll glamorously stag a party, too. I’ve just got a new haircut and I must brush up on my French ftw.

Short answer: no.

Long answer: no dating for adventure. Dating is for finding a spouse *in the long run *(meaning at least not in disconnect with it). Having some coffee doesn’t necessarily fall under dating for this purpose.
? Who said anything about dating for adventure?

Ok, I reread the post. I wasn’t referring to dating a guy for adventure. I was referring to the whole speed dating experience itself. I referred to it as an adventure because it’s not something I’ve ever done before. I tend to fall into ruts, and when I do, I like to break out of the rut by trying something new.

I used to hold that same opinion…but eventually two single female friends of mine who wanted to try it, convinced me to go with them a couple years back. I agreed and participated. I met some odd women and some nice women. But I enjoyed getting a chance to talk to completely new people. I didn’t meet anyone I would like to date… but I had a fun time overall. I am not sure if I would do it again, but don’t knock something unless you have tried it once.

If you are truly tired of being single, it can’t hurt to explore all avenues to meet someone.
I’m glad you had a good time. I’m still not sure if I’m going to go, partly because I am not sure I can make it there! But, I’m glad to know someone else had a good time.

:ehh: LMBO…didnt think I’d see that on this website! Whats the ‘do’ chevy??? Do you get ‘fades’???

Those are the BEST men’s hair cuts…IMHO, the cleaner cut, the better!

You should go Lucy! Then you can come and tell me all about it…I’d never have the nerve 😊

But really, thats because I’m my own biggest critic…I’ve been thru alot so everything I do now I put under a microscope…I’m plagued with guilt. Seriously girl the other weekend me and some girls went out to a club, and by like, 12 I’m like- take me home…

I felt bad…like, I have a baby…I felt like…‘what am I doing here’…

As a single mom I imagine men view me different on the dating scene, so I’m really aware of how and where I present myself in that manner…

But if you have no hang ups like that, then go for it! It could be worse, you know, its not like its anything ‘riskay’…LOL…there was this show on ‘speed dating’ in LA…and they had cameras at the tables, and the people were…SOOO out there, and the random questions they’d ask…like a girl would sit down and since they only had 1 minute the guy would be like, ‘so how often do you like to have —’

exactly…

but in a catholic one, you’ll probably get some decent guys…

I see. Well, my point was that those guys who are involved shouldn’t be just a means of living some experience to you, neither should you to them. The ambiguity of the word “dating” is another problem here because, obviously, just havinga coffee with someone for the sake of talking to a new kind of person or experiencing something new, that doesn’t sound bad. On the other hand, many people take dating rather far. Whether I would say speed dating were OK or not in my view would depend on how far it went.

One kind of speed dating I’ve seen on TV is just talking for a couple of minutes, then next one and next one. IMHO that’s counterproductive–it’s not enough time to base even a general first impression on. One can’t really remember such a person either.
