Definitely cultural differences. But even here in England in my village there are women who’d put you in traction for six months for saying a cheery “good morning.”
I only just recently learned thay saying, “Have a nice day” sounds bossy and off-putting to the English ear. These cultural differences are fascinating!England in my village there are women who’d put you in traction for six months for saying a cheery “good morning.”
I took it to be a hyperbolic illustration of the customs of that village. You seem to communicate well, could be my interpreting.or maybe I’m just a poor communicator!
