I have much respect for the Catholic believers, even if i don’t agree on their teachings. I like the Lord JESUS teachings made more sense to me.
So where do you find the Lord Jesus’s teachings? I know what you’re going to say - the Bible. If that’s what you’re saying then you’re saying that Jesus’s teachings in the Bible are contrary to the Catholic Church’s teachings. Please explain how they are contrary.
All the church that believes in God and his son the lord Jesus is my family. 😃
I see you’ve succumbed to the “let’s all just get along” method.

Yea i was just answering someone else’s question who says that call noone teacher. Okay. I just corrected the person. Where have you been? Please i am not fighting here. So let’s not cut my head off again. 👍
I would appreciate it if you would not exaggerate by describing my legitimate questions and answers as “cutting off your head”. You came here to tell us why you are not Catholic. Surely you expected Catholics to respond on a site called “catholic.com”.

No offense, but you corrected no one. In fact, you needed to be corrected.

Since you use the Bible as your sole guidebook to faith, I would encourage you to research who set the canon of scripture, how they determined which writings were inspired, and what year the canon was set.

You do realize that the Bible did not drop out of the sky, right? I think this history will be useful in your search.

God bless.
You do realize that the bible which you talk about is HOLY?
Of couse i know the bible did not drop from the sky.

Maybe you would need to research more on that as well. 👍

Obviously.

Good.
Maybe you would need to research more on that as well. 👍
I have. That is why I am encouraging you to. You see how many posts I have? I’ve been here a long time.

And you still don’t understand what you are doing is against all Jesus teachings. 👍
Please specify what is against the teachings of Jesus. For instance, you reject Christ in the Eucharist which He explicitly gives to us in John 6. How do you justify the rejection of such a gift?

I’m sorry, but if you haven’t noticed, I don’t tolerate false teachings. Why am I intolerant? Well, I can’t seem to find much tolerance in the New Testament. What I do find is our Lord getting angry and knocking over tables and pigeon cages and driving people out of the temple with whipping cords. And I see Him calling folks broods of vipers and whitewashed tombs. I also find St. Peter arguing (not “dialoguing”) with the Jerusalem contingent, and St. Paul falling out with colleagues over missionary tactics. But I don’t see much tolerance. We are told to “always be prepared to make a defense.” (1 Pet. 3:15) Christ’s followers are told by St. Paul to “mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which you have learned: and avoid them. For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple.” (Romans 16:17-18) We must do this because “the time will come when people will not tolerate sound doctrine but, following their own desires and insatiable curiosity, will accumulate teachers and will stop listening to the truth and will be diverted to myths.” (2 Tim. 4:3-4) So, Christians have to heed St. Paul’s words again and “agree in what you say, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be united in the same mind and in the same purpose.” (1 Cor. 1:10)

“First of all you must understand this, that no prophecy of scripture is a matter of one’s own interpretation, because no prophecy ever came by the impulse of man, but men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God.”
2 Pet. 1:20-21

In Acts 8:27-40, the eunuch was trying to read Isaiah when Philip asked him, “Do you understand what you are reading?" But he said, “Why, how can I, unless someone shows me?” Since Philip had been filled by the Holy Spirit in Acts 2:4, he was able to explain the truth of Isaiah to the eunuch.

Why am I forbidden to make such a claim when you claim (below) to have corrected exoflare?
So yes i did correct that person that says CALL NOONE TEACHER. I told that person CALL NOONE FATHER .
You did not correct exoflare because they were correct to point out that no one is to be called “teacher” (if you take this passage literally) since “rabbi” *means * “teacher”!
Of course you didn’t know anything about that, you weren’t part of the conversation. RIGHT??? 👍
Actually, I was. Check again.

To my understanding as i remember exactly how i felt going to mass on sunday i didn’t know The Lord Jesus. You would need to go to a different church to find out, i can’t explain because i think you would need to see it for yourself. It is best that way so i won’t get my head cut off again. 😦

I would want for the Catholic believers to accept other church, we are also on the same side but just different teachings.

I already told you above that I know where you’re coming from and I know where you are now. Technically I’ve always been Catholic but I’ve dabbled in other churches. I’ve attended a non-denominational fundamentalist Bible school for several consecutive years. In fact, that’s where I went to preschool. I went to a Lutheran Summer camp. And I’ve attended several Lutheran, Methodist, and nondenominational services, so yes, I do know.

By the way, this thread will be ended when it hits 1000 posts, so we may want to move this else where. Why don’t you think about the reasons you believe the Catholic Church is contrary to the Bible and start a thread about that? (or whatever else you’d like to discuss)

I had to make a quick snack run… what’d I miss? 😛

But I wasn’t even aware of the 1000 posts thing, though. Darn!

And no you can’t correct me because i did not do anything against your will. You are not God. 👍

I think you are confused. So it’s best to stop this nonesense.
Where is that in the bible? I only knew about calling noone father.

I’ve been to other churches by invitation: Nazarene, Alliance, Presbyterian to name a few. How empty their services are without the Real Presence of Christ.

Edited: Didn’t know about the 1000 posts either.

It may not be true, but I heard it on another thread. Let’s see if this works.
