I don’t think so. I can’t imagine him worrying about job secuirty if he didn’t kill someone. It is believed he took funds from the Temple and used them to buiild and aqueduct, brutally beating the Jews when they protested. Not something someone who was concerned with quieting the Jews down would do. And he was eventually recalled to Rome, apparently because of his brutal use of violence against a Samartian uprising.
The definition of Messiah in the christian and jewish communities is very different. The main difference being that we don’t think he will be God. So I don’t think it is really possible that we’re waiting for the same person. Of course, one of us (or both of us) are wrong. But theologically, we are waiting for different people.

Romans only carried out what the Jews really wanted. Anyone yelling ‘crucify Him’ more than once, choosing a murderer over Our Lord, wanting Him dead every second He was alive? If that isn’t murder, then you are in total denial here. In Scripture, Pilate says over and over again how he finds NO GUILT In this man called Jesus, that he DID NOT want to crucify him, but if not what the Jews wanted. period. You can think what you like, it is an unfortunate fact that the Jews were threatened by Christ. They wanted nothing more than their money in those days, and that was it.
So the Church, or your church, teaches that Jews killed Jesus because he was cutting into their Temple funds?

Sorry, but Pilate WAS bullied. In fact, he was totally intimidated, not only by the Jews, but by Ceasar. He wanted to hush the crowds of Jews who were crying out crucify Him. Do you deny this? Do you think the Jews were yelling release Him? Perhaps you should read the Gospel of John.
