That’s how I understand it, Alan. The word ‘tolerance’ seems to have been hijacked to mean ‘total agreement with’ or maybe ‘legitimate’. My love and tolerance for all people is a Catholic Christian virtue but it doesn’t mean I agree with the actions of all people - which is why it is such a difficult virtue for me to practice! After all, it is always easy to love those who I agree with, right? The challenge for me is to love, simply love.
For instance, there is someone posting who is calling me a heretic for quoting the Catechism! I have to love him, but I know his opinion means nothing. Still, it would be so much easier if EVERYONE loved me and AGREED with me all the time…lolololol…:rotfl:
just keep in mind that you can’t love someone you tolerate.

Yes, but then it wouldn’t be nearly as much fun. :dancing:

Nowhere to sharpen my claws, either.

Regardless of what you believe:
love, but don’t tolerate,
tolerate, but don’t love,
love and tolerate,
no love and no toleration…

You will still do, think, and act the same way that you do - all outside the Dominion of the Kingdom of God.

Some of you understand what issues are in place for and against tolerance, but it means naught.

The sickness is the tolerance for intolerance.
The sickness is intolerance for tolerance.

If God came as a MAN to CONDEMN, we’d be right on track in this line of discussion… All he’d have to do is point OUT how much better/betta, HE IS than all of you/YOOS, and square the guilt you already have…

After every reception of communion, we could truly say, “LORD I AM WORTHY in and of myself without your help,” don’t forgive me… 👍

JN 12:47 And if anyone hears my words and does not observe them, I do not condemn him, for I did not come to condemn the world but to save the world.

LK 11:28 He replied, “Rather, blessed are those who hear the word of God and observe it.”

In LATIN, BLESSED = BENEDICT.
