just keep in mind that you can’t love someone you tolerate.That’s how I understand it, Alan. The word ‘tolerance’ seems to have been hijacked to mean ‘total agreement with’ or maybe ‘legitimate’. My love and tolerance for all people is a Catholic Christian virtue but it doesn’t mean I agree with the actions of all people - which is why it is such a difficult virtue for me to practice! After all, it is always easy to love those who I agree with, right? The challenge for me is to love, simply love.
For instance, there is someone posting who is calling me a heretic for quoting the Catechism! I have to love him, but I know his opinion means nothing. Still, it would be so much easier if EVERYONE loved me and AGREED with me all the time…lolololol…![]()
