Neither is “Tradition” or those that hold on to it who are known as “traditionalist”…those words should not be shunned either…because without the tradition we have…we would not have The Catholic Church…
And as I have stated many times, the modernists that were self proclaimed Charismatics at my last parish stated to anyone who brought up tradition, “I don’t understand people like you.” and “There must be something in the water over there (my new parish which has EWTN type Holy Masses)”
Then that person was shunned.
The DRE even walked out of a Rosary being said for World Vocation Day.

Ok, but I don’t think popcorn-even with butter is a fair trade. Got any pizza rolls?
Mmmmm, only the frozen ones.
But I have a phone! I can order in!😃

this thread is gonna get closed…
Check post 2.
It’s where the popcorn started. Want some?
What do you take on your pizza?

Oh I know where it came from. I was only saying that tea and buttered popcorn DO NOT mix.

But I am up for some anyways. I like my pizza plain.

, but it’s OK to attend a non-Catholic service regularly—it’s more pious than some Masses.
It took me a while to read through this.
Mysty, why are you lying?

Here is the exact quote from the “Have you ever walked out of Mass?” thread. (the thread has been closed but anyone can go back and look at it)

“If someone leaves a church like this and goes to a more pious service, it’s sad but understandable. If they find a more pious Holy Mass, they are truly Blessed.”

Which was followed by…
" My Goodness, isn’t it sad if someone leaves a Catholic Church to find a more pious service?
I know of three families who left the masses filled with abuses in our area to go to that Lutheran church. They have a service, not a mass.

I find it VERY sad."

Which was then followed by…
“I am sad that the people who left the parish I was at went to a Lutheran service that they found to be more like the Masses they attended as young people. I do understand it. People go where they are comfortable. Two of these families are good friends. I pray to St. Monica for them to return. I beg them to come to our parish. One is seeing the light.”

Please show me where I said that it was okay to go to a non-Catholic service regularly.

I do not think so, at least for this sort of triviality. If you look at most thread closures, they center around childishness, like name-calling, personal attacks and general lack of charity. I appreciate what netmil(name removed by moderator) did by interjecting a little humor to counter balance the lack of charity in the initial post. No Catholic worth their salt likes to see anyone attacked, even those we disagree with.

I find it interesting that in the desire to find as many negatives as possible about the two groups mentioned in the thread, all postive similarities were admitted, like fear of the Lord and zeal for the faith. We all have something to learn from each other.

Well, gee. Thanks. I won’t bother to make attempts to lighten the name calling any more. I didn’t know it was a bait, I thought it was a genuine attempt to remind us to be charitable.

I’m glad humor could be used to counter such a blatant attack. Good job.
