I don’t know what post you are referring to. Post it again for me. I’m not used to the layout of these boards.
Your particular belief is cheap salvation and erroneous. OSAS is nowhere to be found in the Bible.Wow, imputed righteousness is heretical? I guess Scripture is heretical?
Romans 4:11
And he received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith which he had while still uncircumcised, that he might be the father of all those who believe, though they are uncircumcised, that righteousness might be imputed to them also,
Romans 4:24
but also for us. It shall be imputed to us who believe in Him who raised up Jesus our Lord from the
btw, salvation is not cheap. It cost Jesus His life.
I’ve already stated salvation is by no means cheap. Jesus laid down His own life so that we may have life.Your particular belief is cheap salvation and erroneous. OSAS is nowhere to be found in the Bible.
What did I interpret? I posted Scripture, not an interpretation. You deny imputed righteousness, yet it right there for you to see. Do you deny those verses? Do you deny that the word imputed is used?BTW- I see you couldn’t resist interpreting Scriptures for us. Are they infallible interpretations or just part of your own man-made belief system which is subject to change.
[BIBLEDRB]Galatians 1:6[/BIBLEDRB]Those that are saved are not unclean. WE are imputed the righteousness of Christ.
Nowhere in Scripture is a born again believer ever referred to as unclean.
Why bother confessing your sins. It doesn’t matter in your faulty theology whether a one has committed one sin or a million. In your faulty theology once a person is saved, he is always saved - PERIOD!Because I am a sinner and we are to confess our sins. Do you think the unsaved would confess their sins? No, the saved do. Is this really foreign to you?
I don’t know about anyone else, but I’ve heard this too many times by those who misconstrue Catholic teaching. Upon further questioning, I have come to believe that those who say this do (or did) not really understand the faith to begin with.I know what Catholics believe. I was Catholic for over 30 years.
Now we are getting somewhere. You have interpreted nothing for the simple reason that either you can’t or are afraid to.I’ve already stated salvation is by no means cheap. Jesus laid down His own life so that we may have life.

I’ve heard the above too many times by those Catholics who think I misconstrue Catholic teaching. I understand the teachings. I just happen to deny some of them. I understood and understand it just fine.I don’t know about anyone else, but I’ve heard this too many times by those who misconstrue Catholic teaching. I know you sincerely think you are right, but you are sincerely wrong. However, they sincerely think they do. And I certainly don’t fault anyone for being sincere.
If you are referring to the light switch remark, too bad you misinterpreted that as an insult. For you see, no, you really can’t see, that the Church has always taught that faith and reason go hand in hand. By jettisoning the God given gift of reason all you are left with is “faith alone” which is nowhere in Scriptures either.Let me repeat myself since it seems you missed it the first time I posted it.
Because I am a sinner and we are to confess our sins. Do you think the unsaved would confess their sins? No, the saved do. Is this really foreign to you?
And I forgive you for that insult you just posted. Is that the fruit of Catholicism?
Another infallible judgment by byfaith alone. Where does he get this power?I’ve heard the above too many times by those Catholics who think I misconstrue Catholic teaching. I understand the teachings. I just happen to deny some of them. I understood and understand it just fine.
I know you sincerely think you are right, but you are sincerely wrong.![]()
Last time! It was not an insult. It was the truth. You have stopped thinking. You asked me why I confess my sins. I replied because I am a sinner and we are to confess our sins. Do you think the unsaved would confess their sins? No, the saved do. Is this really foreign to you?
Please tell me how what I posted is unreasonable. Without slinging an insult if you can help yourself.

While this is only part of the overall issue, I’d like to ask if you think “imputed” is the only way to translate the word “logizesthai”? What evidence speaks for this translation over and against, say, “reckoned”?Wow, imputed righteousness is heretical? I guess Scripture is heretical?

People who once had grace… No longer had it. That is fatal to imputed righteousness as you understand it.Wonderful verses. The law justifed no one, I already knew that. What does either of those verses have to do with the fact the He has washed us and those that He has washed are never, ever referred to as unclean?
