More potential for voter fraud here.

Even CNN is reporting this story!

Trash bags of undelivered mail found outside a postal worker’s home in Pennsylvania

By Lauren M. Johnson, CNN

Updated 9:08 PM ET, Tue October 13, 2020

Postal Service agents responded to a report of undelivered mail on Sunday outside the home of a postal employee in Pennsylvania.

(CNN)Special agents with the US Postal Service discovered undelivered mail in trash bags placed on the curb for pickup outside the home of a postal employee in Baldwin, Pennsylvania.

The agents with Postal Service’s Office of Inspector General were responding to a report about undelivered mail on Sunday outside the employee’s home. The employee works at the Mount Oliver post office, according to a statement from Postal Service.

“USPS OIG Special Agents recovered several different classes of mail, including business mail, flats, and small amount of first class mail,” Special Agent Scott Balfour told CNN in a statement. “We expect to perform a piece count of the mail today, and make arrangements to have to mail delivered to customers as soon as feasible.”

The employee was not named in the statement, but Balfour said he is currently on a non-duty and non-pay status.

“Once USPS OIG special agents conclude their investigation, the case will be presented for federal prosecution to the U.S. Attorney’s Office,” he said.

Balfour noted that the Postal Service has 630,000 employees and the majority are “hard-working, trustworthy individuals” who work around the clock to deliver the nation’s mail. “Incidents of this nature are exceedingly rare when put into that context,” he said.

Baldwin is a suburb of Pittsburgh while Mount Oliver is a small town that is completely surrounded the Pittsburgh city limits.

Another recent mail dumping incident

Last week, the Justice Department charged a mail carrier in New Jersey for dumping mail.

According to a DOJ statement, 26-year-old Nicholas Beauchene was arrested and charged with one count of delay of mail and one of obstruction of mail. If found guilty of both charges, he faces up to five years and six months in prison and a $255,000 fine.

Court documents say that Beauchene has worked for the Postal Service since July. He’s accused of dumping 1,875 pieces of mail in two dumpsters, one in North Arlington and the other in West Orange.

The mail in the North Arlington dumpster contained 98 general election ballots . . .

PaulinVA changing my premise . . .
Voter fraud ? . . . not one voted fraudulently.
To the readers here:

The problem with PaulinVA’s argument is
he implicitly REDEFINES voter fraud as necessarily “voting fraudulenty”
(when voter fraud can just as easily be, preventing someone else to vote licitly . . . i.e. . . .
By stealing their ballots in certain places - i.e.
if you were to throw away all or even some of the ballots from people
with “Trump” signs in their yard,
THAT would be a form of voter fraud).

No, malfeasance by a postal worker.
Where did you get “malfeasance”??

I was not aware of that.

I got the POTENTIAL for voter fraud,
from common sense
with the information given.
This could be voter fraud.
I can change my idea on that with some evidence.
But right now, I haven’t seen any.

But WHERE did you get this “malfeasance” from, with the information given?

Sigh. I picked a conservative think tank to define voter fraud for you. This doesn’t fit your scenario, which, by the way, it appears you totally made up.

Different types of election fraud

There are many ways for criminals to steal votes and change the outcome of an election. These include:
  • Impersonation fraud at the polls: Voting in the name of other legitimate voters and voters who have died, moved away, or lost their right to vote because they are felons, but remain registered.
  • False registrations: Voting under fraudulent voter registrations that either use a phony name and a real or fake address or claim residence in a particular jurisdiction where the registered voter does not actually live and is not entitled to vote.
  • Duplicate voting: Registering in multiple locations and voting in the same election in more than one jurisdiction or state.
  • Fraudulent use of absentee ballots: Requesting absentee ballots and voting without the knowledge of the actual voter; or obtaining the absentee ballot from a voter and either filling it in directly and forging the voter’s signature or illegally telling the voter who to vote for.
  • Buying votes: Paying voters to cast either an in-person or absentee ballot for a particular candidate.
  • Illegal “assistance” at the polls: Forcing or intimidating voters—particularly the elderly, disabled, illiterate, and those for whom English is a second language—to vote for particular candidates while supposedly providing them with “assistance.”
  • Ineligible voting: Illegal registration and voting by individuals who are not U.S. citizens, are convicted felons, or are otherwise not eligible to vote.
  • Altering the vote count: Changing the actual vote count either in a precinct or at the central location where votes are counted.
  • Ballot petition fraud: Forging the signatures of registered voters on the ballot petitions that must be filed with election officials in some states for a candidate or issue to be listed on the official ballot.

These stories are about postal employees not delivering mail. That’s not any kind of fraud. It’s malfeasance.

Fraudulent use of absentee ballots:
Sig. Let me get this straight.

You don’t think putting someone else’s ballots into the trash is “Fraudulent use of absentee ballots”??

And explain to me why you think “malfeasance” rules out voter fraud.
Explain to me, WHY you cannot have BOTH wrongdoing by a public official AND voter fraud?

Because you seem to think those are mutually exclusive from your post above where you said . . .
No, malfeasance by a postal worker.

Because you’re stretching the definition of voter fraud so far to fit your narrative it is no longer voter fraud. It’s not even a broader election fraud. It’s a postal worker who didn’t deliver all his mail and tried to throw it out. That’s it.

There might have been some ballots in the mail in the second story, but I doubt you could prove any intent to specifically not deliver ballots.

I find your attempt to create some nefarious narrative of postal workers purposely trying to throw ballots away to be grasping at straws.

Yes this is very concerning. The attempts at disenfranchising g millions of voters is frightening. I keep thinking these polls that show JB so far ahead, simply do not line up with the massive crowds Trump draws at his rallies.Add to that HC telling JB not to concede under any circumstances is very revealing.Truth will out!🙏

PaulinVA (yet again changing my premise to be able to argue against something I never said) . . .

To everybody else.

Here is what I REALLY said . . .
More potential for voter fraud here.
I cannot argue against a fallacy. Fallacies violate reason.

@Cathoholic , I appreciate your attempts to try to tie any report of postal impropriety to some sort of election fraud, but it just isn’t there in the cases you cited. You can try to redefine it, you can add “potential”, but it just isn’t there.

And, that means your premise is wrong, and therefore your “conclusions” are wrong, too.

Postal workers dumping mail is unfortunate but it happens. I wonder what statistics the postal inspectors have on the crime and if it’s increased as more postal workers are poorly-compensated temps working long hours.

More fallacy of equivocation by PaulinVA.

You cannot argue against that type of thing.
But if you readers see it, I don’t have to.
It argues against itself.

Word Salad.

Were you trying to make a haiku?

Tired postal guy
Throws all the letters away,
Wrong! Not voter fraud.

The votes that have the higher risk of not being counted are the ones voting by mail. Fraud or not, election or not. I have lost very important papers throughout the US Postal service.

We are told Democrats will vote by mail a lot more than Republicans. If that is the case, then Democrats will be “missing” votes due to human laziness and errors.

From what I’ve seen and read, people are early voting in person in huge numbers, and the absentee ballots are being dropped in drop boxes.

Democrats are expanding the number of drop boxes (or allowing them for the first time), while Republicans are trying to limit drop boxes.

Yes that is what we gather from the news. They each have their reasons, and also good points for or against the other. But that is now what I am talking about.

More Democrats than Republicans will vote by mail “Says” the news. If we go by that, then Democrats have the greater risk of not having their vote counted for many reasons like, lost mail, human laziness or errors in the form. There was a study that found first time voters and young people do not fill the forms properly.

If the news are correct, which I doubt they are. But if they are. Then Democrats will loose votes as it stands to reason. That’s all.

Then why are Republicans and @Cathoholic so worried about mail in voting? It seems this would favor higher votes for their team? Though @Cathoholic only seems concerned if ballots are lost in Republican areas.

Since record numbers are going to polling stations anyway, this is good news for getting a reliable count in areas where mail in voting hasn’t been done before. For areas that have used mail in voting, there isn’t much concern. Our PO knows how to handle them and are doing a great job. I guess experience does make the difference.

Then why are Republicans
Because this has the potential of creating chaos to the system. Kind of like the 2000 elections. We did not know who was president for quite some time.
Sorry I’m being dense but, how so? Even though the winner is usually known on election night, it’s not official until several days later anyway. Florida in 2000 was chaos due to the ballots they used and their hanging chads…not due to mail in ballots, slow mail or missing ones.

Question, is their a requirement that the tally be done by X number of days after polling is closed? I just assumed that even though we citizens might like to know immediately, it just needs to be done by the swearing in date? Or Dec31st? Or? Surely in the 1800’s it took weeks to count the votes?
