…Are you suggesting that hoodies are “BAD?”
Yes. They make people look like thugs, just like spandex or super-short skirts make girls look like sluts.

What the heck is wrong with you. Wake up and smell the coffee

Why don’t you enlighten us all as to who or what your friend is. This tragic incident as with other incidents involving murder especially involving different races of people appears to bring out very strong feelings on both sides, I have seen exactly the same thing in the UK and having lived in many countries in Africa, there too. One thing I have noticed is that all rational debate is ended when someone brings up the race card, now why is that? Very recently 2 white British lads were murdered by a young black lad, in the USA, anyone on this site heard about them? If not why not? All murder should be abhorrent, surely.Do you think the politicians use race to stir us all up, looks that way, time we stopped playing their game.
I don’t see any games here; this is serious stuff. Black kids who kill generally get charged and arrested - I assume that’s how it works across the pond as well, no?

There’s nothing wrong in discussing racial profiling because I’m pretty sure “young white males” don’t get stopped as suspects without a definite reason more than their age/race combination: here or in your neck of the woods. That is the real debate from my perspective. Racial profiling, as I have repeated incessantly, may or may not be related to racism but that is neither here or there. Whether a person hates my race or not, the point is they shouldn’t be able to use it as an excuse to make everyone who looks like me a criminal suspect. S’all I’m saying.

  1. Swizzle, most helpful of you. Thank you.

I can see five people in hoodies from where I sit right now. They all look like normal college students.

Actually, you addressed that random insult to seekerz, not to me.
  1. Saying that a person digusts you in not a direct insult
  2. If it was not directed at you then why are you sticking your nose into it?

  1. I am happy to say that I have not violated any of these rules. All I did is ruffle the feathers of leftwing race baitors, and I will continue to do so.

Yes. They make people look like thugs, just like spandex or super-short skirts make girls look like sluts.** YOUR OPINION. **

What the heck is wrong with you. An insult - and so tiresome.

Wake up and smell the coffee

If a man approached you with a gun after following you for several blocks, at night, and started accosting you, I would not fault you for defending yourself.
No, but I would feel pretty dumb if I had not used my phone to call 911 in that circumstance.

Remember, he apparently had time to make a call to his girlfriend.

I see you haven’t responded to my offer to help with whatever is troubling you. Around here, we may disagree - sometimes very strongly - but we do care about each other; not only because it’s a Catholic duty but because also because it comes naturally to Catholics to comfort those who are afflicted and rejoice with those who are happy.

This is a re-occuring strawman, both here and in the media. For all the complaints about the bias of the media, I have seen quite a bit that is slanted both ways. It may well be that in Florida, this man is protected from being charged because of a poorly written law. If that is the case, then that decision needs to be made. Right now, of course there is a clamor for charges. No one is hearing this case in the legal system. The local proseuctors are still kibitzing on what to do. This does not mean that anyone wants this man lynched or tried in the media.

As lenient as Texas is on self-defense, this man would have already been charged and forced to defend his actions in a court of law. I will never understand what is happening in Florida.
Texas has a stand your ground provision ( IE no duty to retreat) written into it’s castle doctrine law.

These people look like thugs to you?

What the heck is wrong with you?

Hijacking is a crime; security measures to prevent it are obviously related to law enforcement. Not sure why racial profiling would be used in airline security either; various races have been involved in international terrorism, to my knowledge…
Take a statistics course.😉

Lovely, seekerz.

And just to add to that post, the amazing thing is that - as is typical of all leftists - they have decided to attack me rather than the message I originally brought. Thats the typical tool of leftists race baitors: When losing the argument, attack your oppnonent.

Once again, you guys disgust me. Report that.

Final word:

it must be terribly sad to be in your shoes. Prayers for you and yours.
