There are alternatives to alleged “trickle down”.

And the alternatives offer better outcomes than alleged “trickle down”.

Trickle down relates to economic policy. What alternative to trickle down do you propose?

Trickle up sounds like a sound idea. Give those who buy goods and services more money. Then the people who provide goods and services will have more business which will translate into more jobs which will translate into more money for goods and services which will, etc, etc, etc.

@Lemuel, were you involved with some sort of Fundamentalist LDS movement?

Your views are just so extremely anti Government, borderline anarchic, I wonder if they were influenced by involvement with some sort of extremist group like that?

The Catholic Church teaches extremes are never good. The views you express are pretty far away from the Mind of the Church.

Never.

My view is that we should abide by the Constitution and that’s where the powers of government should end. That is not borderline anarchism. It is honoring the supreme law of the land. What we have today is government run out of control. If we followed the Constitution, we would have to dismiss 80 percent or more of the federal government forces. In my mind, that would be a good thing. But most people think that following the Constitution would be extreme . . . such as your question suggests.

I disagree with your assertion that the current US Govt is contradictory to the Constitution.

I think I’m in good company, the US Supreme Court also agrees with me.

I think the SCOTUS might be a little bit more knowledgeable on the Constitutionality of the current US Govt than @Lemuel.

I don’t need groups to define what I think or who I am. I read the Constitution. I study it. I come up with my own thoughts. It was written for the people, not the supreme court. I don’t need opinions of the court to form how I think.

I’m just asking these questions so I can understand where you’re getting these very extreme views from.

So I can better understand what your views or motives are to enable a more fruitful discussion.

Anyway, the Sovereign Citizen Movements are various movements of people who live in the US who claim the US Federal Govt has no authority or jurisdiction over them.

The Constitution is extreme to many people. The founders would be extremists under our current model of government.

Not interested in your video . . .

So in other words, you read the Constitution how some Protestants read the Bible?

Every man with his own copy of the Constitution for himself, and any entity claiming to be the legitimate or sole arbiter of that charter be damned?

That’s fine, choose ignorance.

You said you had no idea what SCM was. I gave you a video which summarizes the movement to try and impart some knowledge on your behalf, so in the future you will know if the topic ever again arises.

But hey, to each his own. Ignorance is bliss.

So I could post any video about any subject and expect you to watch it or call you ignorant?

I have to invest my time wisely. This is not one of the things I’m interested in.

Who says anything about being damned? Are you suggesting that the only understanding acceptable is what you are spoon fed by nine justices?

The obvious solution to trickle down is to place the bulk of the tax burden on very wealthy corporations. Use tariffs to ensure they don’t respond by exporting jobs overseas.

Corporations don’t pay taxes. Taxes are just a part of doing business. They build the cost of taxes into the price of their goods and services and it gets passed on to the consumer. Corporate taxes are simply taxes on the people.
