The federal budget is enormous – more than $4 trillion each year, of which roughly $1 trillion is discretionary. It is Congress’s job to authorize programs and appropriate funds for them from this $1 trillion.

However, the budget categories under which programs are authorized and funds are appropriated are very broad, and since Congress doesn’t pass specific language about every last dollar’s use, discretionary funds are inevitably used for things that Congress never specifically funds.

Based on the El Centro project, it’s costing about $8 million per mile for the slatted steel wall also known as “bollard style”.


The El Centro project covers a place with 18,000 arrests per year and 21 assaults on Federal agents.

$14.3 million by 9:37 am Saturday.

So, Brian Kolfage is funding about one mile every three days.

I would like to point out that you guys need to step it up by a lot.
Thus far 234 917 people have donated a total $14,325,996.

Which brings your average rate of donation to $60.98/person. Which is pitiful considering the amount of money that you guys want to raise.

If you guys are going to be successful with this slow trickle…at $60.98/person, you’ll need 16,163,889 more people to donate

Tariffs on Mexican goods brought to the US are paid by the consumer (US customers).
 
They are rare but you still need actual humans to ensure close-to-full security. I think some of those who are promoting a wall are falling into a false sense of security. But then I haven’t see any of the terrain over which this wall is proposed.

That’s two miles of bollard wall also called steel slat see through wall.

Homeland Security and ICE and Border Patrol know where the worst sections are that need first attention and can focus there.

You keep on posting these things as if you are making big strides. 17 hours ago, your total was 16.1 million now you are at 16.5 million. That is not good progress by any means, being how the goal is to collect 1 Billion dollars.

Let me change the scale for you so that you understand. Let’s say that instead of a 1 Billion dollar goal, you had a goal of 1 million dollars.

For a 1 million dollar goal
17 hours ago you would have $16,100
Now you would have $16,500
A difference of $400 in 17 hours

You guys are moving at a snails pace.

So far very few people even know about the volunteer effort.

About 1/8th of a mile of additional border wall in 12 hours.

You posted - 7:30 pm Saturday: Total 15.4 million
Now 36 hours later (Monday Morning Dec 24): 16.5 million

That is 1.1 million in 36 hours…

Just to keep the scale of this clear for you.
Let’s say you had a goal of 1 million dollars…
In 36 hours you guys would go from
$15, 400…to $16, 500. An $1100 dollar difference in 36 hours.
