Can you provide the source, with methodology, for these figures?

With all due respect, a coyote will tell them just anything. And as for any “ business” because now coyotes have bosses who manage other coyotes… there are all sorts of them. And if it means a few dollars more, they will propose it,Monte. The criteria of whoever takes a family like that through such dangers isn’t precisely reliable or sound…
That amount they probably/ most likely owe to family and friends. The idea is returning it through work across the border Once they get there, business is done and over for coyotes , no warranties.
.
Fact is, that if they do not make it across the border or if they return half way, they already have a debt on top of all their previous problems .
This is wall or no wall, just about the coyotes.

These migrants hid in mattresses going to Spain, we may secure the border more but there will be those who just try to find new ways to enter. I’ve already heard, a lot of people will try to enter via the Pacific ocean.
It’s a numbers game and the harder you make it, the fewer who will cross illegally.

The whole drive between San Francisco and Los Angeles is one large seaport.

It’s a beautiful drive though.

Probably same on the Atlantic side of the U.S.

The image worked, but got “thrown out” after a short while.

Opposition to a wall is contrary to reality.

Since 1972, the government has built over 3,000 miles of “sound walls” along our highways to “protect” nearby homeowners from traffic sounds.

These walls cost about $2 million per mile.

The government has spent over $6 billion on them.

If the government can spend $6 billion on walls to protect homeowners on walls to protect homeowners from traffic noise, why can’t it spend $5 billion to protect our lives from illegal foreign national intruders who refuse to file the papers, get medical exams, get police permits, and follow the procedures?

The image worked, but got “thrown out” repeatedly after a short while.

The image is actually there.

These data are all over the internet.
No doubt. You provided a source that did not include much of anything on methodology - with one exception: they are counting, improperly IMO, moneys spent on US citizens born of illegal aliens as part of the burden… Otherwise the numbers appear out of thin air. I am looking for something of substance like the study of the National Academy of Science.

No, the Southern border control. What’s wrong with them? You’re going to have them, wall or no wall.

Again I think we’re talking past each other. I made an observation about my drive from SF to LA to make a point about the need (or lack of a need) of a wall to block entry of foreigners. That’s all.

And I pointed out that the Coast Guard has that covered very well, no need for a wall everywhere. Nobody on the right has suggested we need a wall around the whole country. Hyperbole doesn’t help
