One does note, however, that Obama has not actually denied that it happened or that he knew about it.
One does note he hasn’t said much of anything publicly since he left office, and nothing since Trump when on his late night Twitter tirade. Obama’s retired. Like most retired presidents he’s pretty scarce in the public eye. His silence doesn’t indicate anything other than he’s doing what all retired presidents invariably do since William Howard Taft…

I’m not making any assertion. This is not my opinion or something I think, I said it’s been reported on, which it has been. Search for yourself.
Your sentences ended with a period, not a question mark. Therefore they were assertions. But if you don’t care to convince anyone of what you say, why do you keep posting unsupported allegations?

So let me get this right, in January the NYTIMES had a story with wire tapping in the headline and now the Democrats say there is no evidence. Why did they write the story?

Wild speculations? There have been numerous reporting going back to Nov on Obama’s administration seeking FISA warrants against Trump. It’s all public record.
…unless you cite one of those public records, I have no idea what you are talking about.
Did the MSM or intelligence mislead Trump with fake wiretapping stories?
The chances are high that Trump gets all his info from the media, and not from US intelligence agencies.
Or was the reporting accurate and Trump and or his campaign was spied on?
Until you cite a specific report in the media, I cannot say if it was accurate or not.

Please cite the story. There may have been several and I would not want to reference the wrong one.

Nice pivot.
There have indeed been stories of wiretapping.

But who, besides Trump has claimed that Trump’s wires were tapped?
Who has suggested that the aim was "to be tapping a race for President?
Who else has said that “President Obama was tapping [Trump’s] phones”?

In addition, who has provided supported that the Clinton campaign was tipped of by the WH?

Are you referring to this story?

nytimes.com/2017/01/19/us/politics/trump-russia-associates-investigation.html?_r=1

Because I’m not seeing any reference to having tapped Trump or his staffers. Rather wiretapped communications appear to be from counterintelligence of foreign sources. But keep believing everything Breitbart spews… 😃

How does this story about gathering evidence on Trump’s aides, support the idea that Trump was wire tapped by Obama to follow his campaign?
It doesn’t. This goes back to Trump deflecting from the fact his aides ties to Russia are an ongoing issue. And it’s not going to work. Even his own party is telling him to sit down and shut up on this one.

They have been linked on this thread numerous times.

It’s been reported that the former NSA Director met with Trump in Nov. 17th and reportedly discussed Trump Tower being tapped. This reporting has been posted as well on this thread.

There is also reporting (WaPo) on Nov. 18th that “The heads of the Pentagon and the nation’s intelligence community have recommended to President Obama that the director of the National Security Agency, Adm. Michael S. Rogers, be removed.”

No one knows what intelligence Trump may have been provided or if he hasn’t been provided anything.

Like who? The never Trumpers? Bwhahahahaha

It’s going to be investigated. I wouldn’t call that the Republicans telling him to sit down and shut up.

I just read a statement attributed to Mark Levin in The Hill, where Levin says that he has sources that say that four people associated with the Trump campaign were under counterintelligence surveillance. That is very different from what Trump said in his tweets. It would certainly not be a surprise to learn that Manafort or Carter Page were looked at by FBI CI. But that is very different than Obama ordering spying on Trump.

The good news is that this mess is highlighting the need for an independent investigation, so maybe we will finally get one and get to the bottom of ALL of this, the Russia connections, the leaks, and Trump’s allegations.

Hah. That’s a hoot.

If you search, you will find that the the interest in giving Adm Rogers the boot, on the basis of unsatisfactory performance, goes back well before the meeting with Trump. The contemporaneous reporting on the meeting indicated that he was looking to keep his job within the Trump administration. This caused consternation among those who thought that Roges should not be in that job.

A report on Adm Rogers in January 2017, btw, has him criticizing Trump for his attacks in the IC.

The sheer speculation that Rogers talked to Trump about the wiretapping in November is new. It is also incompatible with Trump’s tweet that “Just found out…”.
