Hah. That’s a hoot.

If you search, you will find that the the interest in giving Adm Rogers the boot, on the basis of unsatisfactory performance, goes back well before the meeting with Trump. The contemporaneous reporting on the meeting indicated that he was looking to keep his job within the Trump administration. This caused consternation among those who thought that Roges should not be in that job.

A report on Adm Rogers in January 2017, btw, has him criticizing Trump for his attacks in the IC.

The sheer speculation that Rogers talked to Trump about the wiretapping in November is new. It is also incompatible with Trump’s tweet that “Just found out…”.
Who said Rogers was fired for meeting with Trump?

Just found out does not mean never informed. Informed can be without evidence, found out can mean evidence.

Senators Cotton and Rubio for a start.
They told Trump to sit down and shut up? I believe they simply said they were not aware of any evidence to suggest that Trump was wiretapped, and Trumps tweets were the first they heard about it.

I just read a statement attributed to Mark Levin in The Hill, where Levin says that he has sources that say that four people associated with the Trump campaign were under counterintelligence surveillance. That is very different from what Trump said in his tweets. It would certainly not be a surprise to learn that Manafort or Carter Page were looked at by FBI CI. But that is very different than Obama ordering spying on Trump.

The good news is that this mess is highlighting the need for an independent investigation, so maybe we will finally get one and get to the bottom of ALL of this, the Russia connections, the leaks, and Trump’s allegations.
Mark Levin has also referred to reports that a computer server in Trump Tower was “tapped” or if you prefer under surveillance due suspected of links to Russian banks and nothing was found.

Who said Rogers was fired for meeting with Trump?
Who said that anyone said that?
Just found out does not mean never informed. Informed can be without evidence, found out can mean evidence.
That’s the beauty of Trump tweets. Always so vague that whenever we dscover what the reality is, we can claim that that is what he said all along,

Is this what he’s referring to? It’s a long article but if I remember correctly it wasn’t the government that was looking at this data. I consider it more smoke but no conclusive “fire” was found.

Was a Trump Server Communicating With Russia?.

No one did. But it seems like you were fostering that I may have with your reply being “Hah. That’s a hoot. If you search,”… then the given explanation on the recommendations and reason to have Rogers removed.

No, I believe it was the Heatst and Nation Review articles.

Do not visit this website. It served up an ad with a virus. (“Critical Firefox update - download now”)

After finding a less virus-ridden source for this story I see that it is not about tapping Trumps phone or Trump Tower in general. It was about his aids and their contacts with the Russians. The NSA regularly spies on virtually all communication with other countries. It would not have been specially ordered by Obama. So no smoking gun here.

Trump’s new wiretapping charge is a way of distracting from his Russia ties. Here’s an interesting new one:

Trump Reverses Pledge To Mandate U.S. Steel For Keystone Pipeline. A Direct Beneficiary Is A Russian Oligarch With Close Ties To Vladimir Putin
After green lighting the continuation of the controversial Keystone XL oil pipeline in an executive order January 24th, President Trump declared as recently as last week that the pipeline had to use American made steel “or we’re not building one.”
But on Friday, Trump spokeswoman Sarah Huckabee Sanders announced that the directive would apply only to new pipelines or those currently undergoing repair.
That sharp reversal now paves the way for the use of a stockpile of steel manufactured in Canada by a subsidiary of Evraz, a company in which Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich owns nearly a one/third stake.
Abramovich, estimated to be worth $8.9 billion, who ranks No. 151 on Forbes list of the 500 wealthiest people in the world, has longstanding personal and political ties to Russian President Vladimir Putin, whom President Trump has repeatedly praised.

They have been linked on this thread numerous times.

It’s been reported that the former NSA Director met with Trump in Nov. 17th and reportedly discussed Trump Tower being tapped. This reporting has been posted as well on this thread.
Here is a little tip. If you go to a post on CAF that you want to link to, right click on the posting number in the upper left corner of the posting ("#???") and select “Copy Link Location”. Then in your response, use the “Insert Link” that looks like a globe and paste the clipboard into the URL field. Try it. It is easy.
There is also reporting (WaPo) on Nov. 18th that “The heads of the Pentagon and the nation’s intelligence community have recommended to President Obama that the director of the National Security Agency, Adm. Michael S. Rogers, be removed.”
relevance?

It’s the Democratic Party that is entirely about projection and transference. Project, transfer. Project, transfer. For any type of accusation they launch, it’s they who are truly guilty, then they attempt to foist their sins on someone else.

I bet Obama and his cronies tried to get intelligence of a connection with Trump to the Podesta email leakers and abused FISA. At least Nixon had the excuse that he was trying to protect the US against Communists.

It’s interesting NYT back January - Front page: “Wiretapped Data Used in Inquiry of Trump Aides”. Now, to “report” “There is no evidence of a wiretap”.

Nice pivot.
There have indeed been stories of wiretapping.

But who, besides Trump has claimed that Trump’s wires were tapped?
Who has suggested that the aim was "to be tapping a race for President?
Who else has said that “President Obama was tapping [Trump’s] phones”?
Trump made claims for which he appeared to have had no evidence.
The claims go far beyond the existence of a wire tap on Manafort or Page.
He better come up with something because his credibility hangs in the balance.

Different.
“So let me get this right, in January the NYTIMES had a story with wire tapping in the headline and now the Democrats say there is no evidence. Why did they write the story?”
My post.
It’s interesting NYT back January - Front page: “Wiretapped Data Used in Inquiry of Trump Aides”. Now, to “report” “There is no evidence of a wiretap”.
If citations from the public record are fake news based on fake leaks, they represent malicious efforts to destroy Trump and the executive branch of government.

How do you know what evidence Trump did or didn’t have? No one is privy to that.

I didn’t claim to know, did I?
The appearance was clear, because he and his gave nothin’
And Obama & Co didn’t affirm or deny, so right now it’s just a matter of who one believes. But ultimately, we’ll know.

…no evidence of a wiretap on Trump or on Trump Tower ordered by Obama.

Except that one’s claim is extraordinary and the other is ordinary. For example,

Suppose I claimed to have evidence that you once ran a meth lab in your basement, and supporters of your deny it. Are people supposed to take both claims as having equal likelihood of being true, pending a “full investigation”?
