The Germans have a word for taking delight in the misery of other, schadenfroh. It is not generally seen as one of the seven virtures we should be striving for.

Don’t pretend you don’t do the same with Trump supporters such as me. You’ve had several what you think are “gotcha” moments to shame Trump supporters. You are not innocent.

Those things are the same.

Unless you think that a wiretap was ordered, but the agencies that have to implement it and put it in place have no knowledge of it.

Not the same at all. He said, no doubt, what he knows, and he says he doesn’t have any information. There hasn’t even been time to have a real investigation.

I very much doubt Obama “ordered” a tap or hack or both, because that’s not how it works. But I don’t think we presently know whether there was an authorized or unauthorized wiretap or hack. All we know is that some high-end people have said they didn’t do it. That doesn’t preclude it having happened.

I think it’s likely that, in time, we’ll know more than we do now. Whether it will be better or worse for Trump will remain to be seen.

No one is trying to “shame” you. Why do you take criticism of trump so personally? He’s the President; of course people are going to have varying opinions. I get that you support him, but you react to criticism of him like he’s your best friend or something.

He’s my President and the first one I have felt good about in decades. Why can’t I be a proud American again? Do I have to wallow in the doom and gloom with yall? Of course not and I won’t!

I’ve noticed this with the more ardent Trump supporters. They respond to any criticism of Trump, even if very indirect (such as someone posting a news story that casts one or more of his decisions in a negative light), as a personal affront. I don’t understand that mindset at all. Any politician I’ve ever supported I also criticized. He seems to almost have the status of a saint in some people’s minds… he can do no wrong, say no wrong, and any criticism, any hesitation towards embracing him is almost akin to blasphemy. Its just plain weird. Bush supporters still acknowledged he had faults. Obama supporters still acknowledged he had faults.

Yep, this is true. I just stated that his supporters don’t mind being lied to on another thread and was told that this my accusations were a result of Clinton. Logic is out the window here.
