I’m fascinated that somehow in America one has to support Israel to be American.

I sometimes find myself thinking that I should apologize for some of the things that I post on here too, but I have never actually followed through. The fact that you have is inspiring and gives me a bit of hope. Thanks for making my day.

I always vote! But yes, a candidate that does nothing other than bash the opponent without ever giving me a clue what he’s FOR…rarely gets my vote. The issue is when both candidates are doing this. Then, I feel obligated to go to their website to see if there’s anything I’m in favor of or opposed to. I appreciate it when I at least get a mailer that tell me something. I’ve even gotten mailers that don’t say anything about platform or plans. Really, not even their mailers? Honestly, I’m happy they’ve lived in my state for X years and are married with two kids but what reason are you running?

Our state has two contestants running a very close campaign and one’s commercial is all about what he’s going to do for healthcare. The other just smears him with something that happened over ten years ago and isn’t really earth shattering…a questionable campaign contribution over ten years ago…thats all you got!

This was the position of one of my high school teachers who asked about our nationalities. Only five were Americans. The rest were Polish, Irish, German, you name it.

I looked it up later. We must have thought he meant ancestry because nationality means place of birth.

And citizenship is something else.

I’m old enough to remember Gerald Ford and some of the goofball comments he made. I don’t recall anyone defending these comments! He was also noted for tripping and banging his head as he got into the helicopter. Both sides had a good laugh at this. Trump has trouble walking down a ramp and the left accuses him of not being able to walk and chew gum and the right defends his problem as some physics problem that everyone has…what would Trumps reaction be if, when he says something off, everyone just laughed at it! Since the comments are so absurd anyway, laughing would be an appropriate reaction. However, I have a feeling he wouldn’t like that much either. I remember covofe or what ever it was! Even when we laugh he gets bent out of shape!

And Cory Gardner isn’t? I’ve yet to see one commercial of Cory’s letting me know what his campaign is. All I know from them is that he hates Hickenlooper and likes beer. I don’t think either of them are puritans. I actually really like Cory but his commercials are turning me off. I tend to lean left but I also vote either side depending on the candidate. I voted for Cory last time. Now, I’m just not sure!
 
My brother in law is an English professor at a University in India. He’s an Indian man who speaks British English. I just love talking with him. When my Indian brother in law speaks English it always sounds so fresh and clean. When I first met my husband he spoke like that. It was very attractive, when spoken correctly English is a very beautiful language. That sounds very fresh and clean. My husband has been an American citizen now for 20 years. His language has devolved now to American English.

You shouldn’t say such nasty things about Trump, your message will get deleted. Or am I the only one who thinks that saying he is motivated by vanity is an insult?

I find the whole anti-american accusations against Omar and others ridiculous. Trump’s last campaign was all about maligning America, claiming it needed to be made great AGAIN. Why isn’t he more complimentary toward our country?

It’s only insulting if it isn’t true! I find few people that don’t think he’s a bit on the vain side even if they love him.
 
I am not aware of this, It is not common knowledge in Aus, What did he do to the German royalty to be exiled and become a refugee?

Somali American is African American. There is no difference. Is the term African American now cancelled? This terminology seems to be being re invented and cancelled daily.

Cory Garner is a moderate at best.Per usual we are left with two choices so I will vote for him again even though I’m not crazy about him either
 
Thank heavens it wasn’t me! I can usually figure out what was being communicated but that was a bit too tough! No worries…thanks.

Yes, Gardner is a moderate…it’s why I like him as I’m a moderate, too. His campaign this year is just making me angry…not a reaction I assume he wants. As we get closer, I’m hoping this improves!
