I appreciate both of you answering.
Thanks for the History. The cheer began at St. Augustine’s, a black Catholic high school in NOLA. It then spread to Grambling University and eventually to the Saints.
Not what I said. Her “criticism” of Israel goes far beyond lack of support. She can support or not support any country she chooses, but she doesn’t have an immunity from criticism.I’m fascinated that somehow in America one has to support Israel to be American.
In 1972. 276. IIRC.US drafted until Nixon cut the draft albeit in steps. Remember your draft number?
Well, the Union Army had many Irish but it was not ‘mostly Irish’. Half of Wisconsin’s ‘Iron Brigade’ were native born Americans and there were numbers of Germans, Scandinavians and Irish in the mix. As to the draft, it is remembered that the Irish in NYC fomented the draft riots in which many blacks were killed, In one incident, rioters set a black New York orphanage on fire, nailed the doors shut and then shot at anyone who tried to flee.True in America too, though not for as long a period. Mostly Irish served in the Union army because they had settled in the north. And too, they were drafted as soon as they stepped off the ships in New York.
The treatment of Brett Kavanaugh?I guess no low is too low for Trump.
You deflect. Why do you and conservatives refuse to deal with Trump’s low, insulting statements and falsehoods? It seems that the Trump apologists just ignore them. The treatment of Brett Kavanaugh?
Party of Planned Parenthood and maybe even infanticide?
You can’t be serious as John McEnroe quipped.
