If both candidates are going to have ties to Saudi Arabia, id rather the one who has been critical of it and who I think will at least sleep with one eye open in regards to their relationship.
So Obama then? Obama was president when Congress passed legislation allowing for 9/11 lawsuits against Saudi Arabia. (Trump apparently forgot about 9/11 already.)

Those of us who simply wanted a pro-life candidate to vote for are having to pay a heavy price to save the lives of babies. I hope we can just get through this with at least that intact. Unfortunately when America makes a political swing or a “correction,” they tend to pull the who weed out, roots and all. I fear loosing any pro-life gains we made with the next cycle.

Throwing the baby out with the bathwater, may take on a whole new meaning.

👍

He didn’t propose “banning Muslims”, he proposed restricting immigration from seven or so specific countries where screening potential immigrants for terror ties was impossible. Those countries contain about 15% of the world’s Muslims.
Surely you don’t think these irrational Trump haters will believe that, do you?😉 Some of the comments about what he has to says before he even says it is just more inane comments by people who have nothing else to do.

Trump hasn’t forgotten about 9/11. I’m not very familiar with that in regards to Obama, nevertheless, I see more of a concern in Mass Islamic Immigration which they were pursuing.

I don’t even see how lawsuits against Saudi Arabia would even work.

So long as Trump keeps one eye open in regards to his relationship with Saudi Arabia and does not push/support mass Islamic immigration, I would be happy.

I hope this has helped

RIYADH, Saudi Arabia — President Trump, whose dark, guttural demonization of Muslims was a trademark of his nationalist campaign, arrives here Saturday hoping the Arab world will listen to a new message.

Embarking on his first overseas trip as president, Trump plans to do a rhetorical pirouette with a speech Sunday in the birthplace of Islam preaching religious tolerance and inviting Muslims to join the United States in the fight against global terrorism.

Never mind that as a candidate Trump proposed banning Muslims from entering the United States, or that he warned of a “Trojan horse” filled with refugees slaughtering innocent Americans, or that he proclaimed, “Islam hates us.”

Why are you repeating a lie about Trump banning Muslims from entering the country?

Look, I get that you hate Trump, I can’t stand the man too, but that is no excuse to spread lies about what he did.

I don’t think Trump is as bad as insinuated (He certainly isn’t perfect, but certainly not as bad as insinuated), I think a lot of the MSM is spreading rumors about him to make him seem the biggest joke in the world, not much different really to when he was campaigning.

As for the pro-life gains, if people are capable to compromise in throwing the ‘baby’ out with the ‘bathwater’ (practically literally speaking with abortion)… well, it says a lot about a people who would be willing to do that. Since if there is a compromise to be made, surely the rational and moral one is to keep the baby and the bathwater, until one can get rid of the bathwater, not the other way around.

In regards to Clinton vs Trump, the abortion issue alone made it a clear choice I believe, and I would back Trump again in a heartbeat if I were an American. I will pray for him and I hope he does well.

It’s like he just spouts whatever he thinks will go over well to the people he’s speaking to, regardless of his true beliefs.
“I love him because he means what he says!”
*
He just said what??
*
“Oh, p-shaw. He didn’t mean that. Sheesh!”

What Trump campaigned against was the same thing Rudy Guiliani, Chris Christie, et al, railed against on FOXNEWS nearly 24/7: RADICAL Islamic terrorism – those exact words – and they incessantly attacked Obama and Hillary for not saying the words “Radical Islam.” Now that Trump won’t say “Radical” Islamic terrorism, is he now soft on terrorism like Obama and Hillary?

So, no – he didn’t campaign against “Islamic terrorism.” He specifically campaigned against “Radical Islamic terrorism.” Why won’t Trump say the word “radical” anymore? Cat got his tongue? 🤷
Terrorism is terrorism. Whether he uses the word radical to describe it or not, does not
change the fact it is still terrorism.

In fact, this softer posture “on the Mulim ban” was adopted when he was POTUS, and tasked people to craft a ban that might pass judicial review. Druing the campaign he called for a total and complete ban on Muslim immigration.

Then why was it so imperative that Obama and Hillary had to use the word “radical”? Trump, Christie, Guiliani, et al all demanded we had to accurately qualify the terrorism as RADICAL Islamic terrorism so that we could properly identify our enemy. Why can’t Trump do the very thing he demanded of Obama? Why can’t he call it “RADICAL” Islamic terrorism? Is Radical Islamic terrorism no longer a threat to the U.S.? 🤷

It’s discouraging to find such politicized spin on a Catholic site.

The new Bezos Washington Post, fair and balanced.
Yep. Don’t you know how journalists are unbiased!?

News!

I think he is doing a fine job. And his trip will go well.
I think the press will never ever let that be reported.

So are you saying Obama and Hillary were correct in not calling it “radical Islamic terrorism” like Trump constantly demanded?

I think a lot has to do with audience. It’s a mmistake to scream radical Islamic terrorism in Saudi Arabia as a diplomacy tactic.
It would also be a mistake to ignore the threat of Islamic terrorism to criticisms in your own country when involved in a military conflict with a religious component.

Ah, so that’s a “yes” then. You do think Obama and Hillary were correct in not calling it “radical Islamic terrorism” like Trump demanded. Got it. 🙂
